This “Type” Of Person Succeeds No Matter What…Does This Describe You?

What does it mean to be a ‘warrior'?

Well, first things first. The warrior, as I teach in my programs, is an archetype and is used in mythology as a model to help us better ourselves.

The warrior is a model of inner power. The warrior’s way is the way of action.

And to be a warrior, you must not only take action, you must take UNCONDITIONAL ACTION.

In other words, if you want to succeed, you will need to become someone who takes action—no matter what.

You need to become a “whatever-it-takes” kind of person.

Think about a warrior in the heat of battle in the battlefield—which could just as easily be you in the business world when things get tough or uncomfortable or don’t go your way.

Is a warrior going to say things like, “Oh, I don't know, it's getting kind of late, I've been fighting all day, I don't feel like it.”

What happens if they say that? Boom, they're dead. They cannot say that—they don't have that luxury.

And neither do you…IF you want to reach high, high levels of success in the real world.

You need to do whatever it takes.

So, let me ask you a question, if you lived your life like you are in the battlefield and you are fighting for your life right now, and every second is a life or death situation, and if you did not succeed you would actually die…

…Would you be taking any different actions than you are taking right now? Would you have a different attitude than you have right now?

Of course you would.

Then you may say, ”But Harv, I'm not in that situation.”

Right, and that's why you don't take those actions, true or true?

And that’s why you're not as successful as you could be.

Then you may say, ”But Harv, how am I supposed to keep a balanced lifestyle if I’m always focused on getting the job done?”

My friends, it doesn't mean you're not in balance if you're a warrior.

When you play and when you do business, the warrior way is either 100% or 0%.

There is no black and white. It's life or death. You are either involved 100% and giving 100% of yourself, or you're not. And when you're resting, you give 100% to rest. And when you're playing, you give 100% to playing. And when you’re with your family, you give 100% to your family.

Then you go back into your work or business, and you give 100% to that.

Now it’s also critical that you understand that a “whatever-it-takes” type of person will act in spite of their mood. And this is something I see that stops the majority of my students from becoming as successful as they’d like to be.

You may notice yourself saying things like…

“I don't feel like it.”

“I'm not sure how to do this.”

“I’m afraid.”

“I’m tired.”

“What if they don’t like me?”

“What if I fail?”

As you’ve heard before: feel the fear and do it anyway.

The key here is that when your mind is saying something to you, you can still act.

Remember, your mind is just an inner voice, it isn't even real.

And most people believe their mind. They believe that their mind is them, giving them accurate information.

But you don’t have to believe that voice in your head. That is a conditioned, learned response.

Instead, you have to act in spite of fear.

Don't try to get rid of fear—because you can't. The only time you ever get rid of your mind and your fear is when you die.

So what do you do when those thoughts creep in and your mind starts chattering away?

As I teach on my Don’t Believe A Thought You Think web class, you say these four magic words: “Thank you for sharing.” I also reveal a few other strategies and techniques to help quiet the mind and live from your higher self.

*If you want to register for my upcoming ENCORE class on February 9th, click here.*

The truth is, if you want to succeed, you CANNOT listen to your own mind. You must feel the fear and do it anyway.

Act in spite of fear. Act in spite of your mood. Act in spite of anything.

That is the true warrior, and I KNOW it is in you.

How do you adopt the warrior way? Do you have trouble silencing your mental chatter? Share your experiences and thoughts in the comments below!

Are you ready to become a warrior?

Would you like to discover how to take unconditional action and act in spite of ANY fears, doubts, worries, or obstacles?

  5. Love this! I am trying to become more mindful…recognize the feeling of fear, acknowledge it, and move forward. This phrase “Thank you for sharing” will definitely help. I’ve also discovered just taking little baby steps toward what you are fearful of is helpful. At IIN they taught us to “Start before you’re ready.” Now I sometimes say “Jump and grow wings.” In other words, I tell people I am going to do something, then I figure out a way to get it done. For example, I was a little fearful of doing video, even though I have no problem posting pics of myself on my website and Instagram. But I told my followers that I would be posting short videos. That forced me to follow up and actually do it. And now I really enjoy it!

  7. As for this: “So, let me ask you a question, if you lived your life like you are in the battlefield and you are fighting for your life right now, and every second is a life or death situation, and if you did not succeed you would actually die…”
Yes, that is my life. As a breast cancer conscript, it’s a battle I fight every moment of every day. I suppose the fact that I’m here, the fact that in this moment I’m healthy means I am successful, even if it doesn’t feel that way. Even if it feels like this constant battle I’m fighting is keeping me from the real success I’m seeking. Sometimes we don’t get to choose our battles, life chooses them for us. All we get is to choose how to respond. And in that, I’ve made my choice.

There are also dozens of other things that are responsible for breast (or any other) cancer, like: poor diet, gluten, casein, imbalanced fatty acids, yeast infections (candida albicans), too much sugar, too little movement, no external “enemy” for a body to fight (so it creates an internal one), not keeping your chakras busy enough etc.

Hi, that’s true! Now, I feel this point where I am becoming a warrior, because everything in my life said “it’s time to change!”. The past is over and I’ll be never be the same, fortunately. I know what I want to do when I get up in the morning, and why I want to do it.

  9. IreneDD says:

I must say that I have given into fear and at times not given into fear. Our mind tells us things to protect us physically of what it thinks is harmful. So in a sense: our mind is a friend. When I have felt the fear and did it anyway – sometimes even more thoughts come. I have started using the phrase a while back – “Thank you for sharing and the lesson within it – but now I release you to your highest good elsewhere. This has truly freed me from some of those conditioned responses. Looking really forward to the class tomorrow.

I ran a business which failed (well, I failed the business of course, because I was alone and I didn’t have the good tools – or no tools at all) on which I gave 200% of myself during the 3 years of running it.
Thing is, now that I’m in a new business, starting with new tools, new state of mind, I don’t have -or I don’t want- to spend that much energy on it (mostly because I want to spend time with my family), like if I didn’t want to make the same mistake, in a way.
So far I didn’t have any true problem balancing my work and my family time, but I’m a little bit worried on how to keep it balanced in the future (you know… the “What if ??”)… (and I have to say that as I worry about it, it SEEMS that I have less time with my family, whereas maybe not !… I call the mental a little devil on your shoulder that whisper in the ear, like in the cartoons) 😉
    Good luck to everyone

I hear a lot of thoughts, like: “I am nothing!”, “Nobody like me!”, “You can’t do it!” etc. All this kind of negative thoughts, that I am not good for this world.
This kind of negative thoughts block myself to acting. And I agree what T. Harv Eker says, that is conditioned thinking. I got from somewhere this kind of thinking.
And honestly, I want to silence, this kind of “negative thoughts” in my mind, that stop me to do something.

A child is born with two fears. The first one is the fear of falling. The second one is the fear of loud noises. That’s it, you were born with two fears. Every additional fear comes from your parents and society. They are all illusions, except the first two. Your negative mind keeps them alive and they multiply exponentially. Become mindful of this every single day and the fears will begin to drop away. Otherwise, you may wind up visiting your psychiatrist for the next 20 years or strung out on drugs or alcohol. The choice is yours. Choose life!
