They make their decisions based off emotions. Find out how to adapt your presentation skills to draw in consumers so that you can do more than sell to them, you can help them, too.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Sell Products Using Key Presentation Skills<\/h2>\n<p>Writer\u2019s get writers block. Baseball hitters have slumps. Markets have down days.<\/p>\n<p>The idea behind \u201cfunks\u201d is that we\u2019ll eventually come out of them, yes? But what we can we say for those people who aren\u2019t making excuses about lack of financial growth; who have a burning desire to get off the treadmill and take control of their financial life by deciding to start a business, but have <em>no<\/em> idea what they\u2019d do?<\/p>\n<p>We can start drawing parameters around the question by realizing that in business, you either have a product, a service or an idea that you\u2019re selling. Some potential business people might think, \u201cGreat, I don\u2019t have a product. I don\u2019t have two thousand of something sitting on a shelf somewhere in a warehouse ready to be shipped out and sold.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Or they might be saying to themselves, \u201cI don\u2019t have a product but, but I do have an idea for a service, but how they heck do I do that enough to make a lot of money?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a matter of fact, every year there are over 375,000 different patents submitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. A fraction of those patents turn into something lucrative. <strong>The vast majority don\u2019t because they are lacking a crucial element: Presentation!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4998 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/4\/files\/2017\/09\/Cress-WP-images-copy-2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/09\/Cress-WP-images-copy-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/09\/Cress-WP-images-copy-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/09\/Cress-WP-images-copy-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/09\/Cress-WP-images-copy-2.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Why Your Business Presentation Matters<\/h3>\n<p>You can have the greatest product, service, or idea in the world, but if you can\u2019t communicate it in a way that gets others to want what you have\u2014or if you can\u2019t create the need for what you have\u2014then nothing\u2019s going to happen.<\/p>\n<p>Before we can truly understand how to effectively make our presentation, <strong>we have to first understand why people buy anything in the first place.<\/strong> If we understand that, then we\u2019re in a much better position to come up with that product, service, or idea and present it.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s only one reason why people buy; whether it be from television, from across a desk, in a department store, or on the telephone. <strong>People buy based on emotion and they justify it with the facts later!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not that the facts aren\u2019t important. Facts are very, very important, but they provide the information while emotion provides the <em>interpretation<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>When we\u2019re buying a car, sure gas mileage matters, but there\u2019re plenty of cars that have that covered. You\u2019re gauging how you feel in that seat, the new car smell, and the compliments you\u2019ll get. How those car payments will be made you figure out later. It\u2019s primarily about how you <em>feel <\/em>about the purchase.<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019re sending out your message about your product, service or idea on the informational level, you\u2019re not doing anything wrong but you\u2019re never going to make a real connection. You\u2019re always going to miss making that strong, important, effective, emotional association.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re not talking about manipulation, either. I think it\u2019s a basic instinct of all human beings to want to help other people. So when we\u2019re thinking of what we\u2019re going to do to make millions, whatever it is you have to be thinking, <strong>\u201cHow do I effectively help others with what I have?\u201d Not just how you\u2019re going to make your car payments or mortgage. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you are selling something you are doing something to somebody, but when you\u2019re helping you\u2019re doing something for somebody. Service and presentation skills will keep you in business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you think?
