Harv Eker &#038; Mary Morrissey On The Art Of Setting Ambitious Goals And Achieving Them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Do you know exactly what you want in life, but just don\u2019t know how to get it? \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Anyone who has ever set a goal knows that setting them is easy \u2013 but actually accomplishing them is an entirely different matter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Only 8% of people who set goals for what they want in life actually end up achieving them. And some experts say that about 80% give up before they\u2019ve even really gotten started!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Don\u2019t let that statistic scare you, though. <i>It is possible<\/i> to set goals and actually achieve them\u2026 if you do it the right way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Here\u2019s another great video that I put together with my friend, author, and founder of Life Mastery Institute, Mary Morrissey, to get her thoughts on goal setting. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Watch this video to find out what she had to say:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"The Art Of Setting Ambitious Goals \u2014 T. Well, like Mary Morrissey mentioned, goal setting is only HALF of the puzzle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">To design the life you truly want, you need to have two parts in place: <b><i>goals <\/i>AND <i>systems<\/i>.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Having goals you want to reach is great, but if you don\u2019t have <i>systems<\/i> in place to allow you to work toward those goals, you\u2019re setting yourself up for failure.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>Why You Need Systems In Place To Reach Your Goals<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">First, what is a system? In short, it\u2019s a process or set of processes or routines to get your from start to finish (your end goal). \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Let me give you some examples to explain this further&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">If you\u2019re a writer, your goal might be to finish writing a book. So what could the system be here? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">The system is the steps you need to take to finish that project on a daily, weekly, and\/or monthly basis. This might include blocking a specific day and time each week to sit down and write, no matter what. The next step would be actually doing it and committing to that action, and then repeating this process over and over until you\u2019ve finished writing your book. Simple, yes? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Here\u2019s another example&#8230; Let\u2019s say you\u2019re an entrepreneur and your goal is to build a million dollar business. You might have a great product or service, but if you can\u2019t connect with people who want to buy it, you\u2019ll never reach your goal. So your system is the sales and marketing processes you put in place, repeat every day, and fine-tune as you go.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">Make sense? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">If there\u2019s a goal you want to achieve, stop focusing on the end result and instead start thinking about the systems you need to put in place to make your dreams a reality.
