Has anyone ever told you that if you just think positive, everything will work out? <\/span><\/p>\n

Most people believe in positive thinking at some point in their life. And you know what else happens to most people? They find out positive thinking is a freakin\u2019 lie.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you think I got to be a multimillionaire by just thinking positive thoughts? That I just had faith in being really, really rich? <\/span><\/p>\n

Do you think I\u2019m happier, healthier, and wealthier than ever before because I believed that the Universe was going to be nice to me?<\/i> <\/span><\/p>\n

You know, I used to believe that positive thinking was going to work. I did, I admit it. <\/span><\/p>\n

You want to know when I stopped thinking that way? It was right around the time my fourth business in a year went under and I was broke as a joke with mouths to feed. <\/span><\/p>\n

Then, I came up with the concept of power thinking. I call it power thinking because it gives you the power. You\u2019re the one in control. Read on to learn more\u2026 <\/span><\/p>\n

Positive Thinking v. Power Thinking<\/span><\/h2>\n

So what\u2019s the difference between positive thinking and power thinking? Everything!<\/span><\/p>\n

Positive Thinking<\/b><\/span> is the belief that if you put out good thoughts into the Universe, the Universe will repay you by making \u201cgood\u201d things happen. Now, there are a few concepts you have to accept as true if you\u2019re going to believe that:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. You think events are good or bad.<\/span><\/h3>\n

In order to accept positive thinking, you have to believe that good things can happen. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now, you might be thinking, \u201cWell duh, Harv. There\u2019s good events and bad events. Bad events are when things like forest fires, or getting laid off happen. Good events are things like getting a new job, or winning the lottery.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not really true. <\/span><\/p>\n

Those \u201cbad\u201d things can actually bring a lot of good. A forest fire can be devastating\u2026 but there are millions of species of plants that only germinate in fire. Getting laid off could be the worst day of your life\u2026 but it could free you up to focus on that project you know is a million-dollar idea. <\/span><\/p>\n

And it\u2019s the same for those so-called \u201cgood\u201d events. A new job could be great\u2026 or it could be a serious step-down. Winning the Powerball could be the most freeing moment of your life… or you could end up bankrupt, like 70% of lottery winners. <\/span><\/p>\n

Take a moment and think about this: have you ever had a seemingly \u201cbad\u201d thing happen that was actually freakin\u2019 awesome and improved your life, forever? You probably called it \u201ca blessing in disguise.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Or, on the other side of that, something that seemed like it would be \u201cthe best,\u201d was actually a colossal waste of your time\u2014or worse. When something like that happens we say \u201cbe careful what you wish for.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Put simply, good and bad are all about perspective<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

2. You think good thoughts make good things happen.<\/span><\/h3>\n

If you haven\u2019t heard about this before, it\u2019s an ancient theory called The Law Of Attraction. And it\u2019s based on pseudo-scientific theories like \u201csound waves travel through ether,\u201d and \u201cyou can burn up brain matter by thinking too much.\u201d And it has a really, really big following. It\u2019s a multi-multi-multi-million dollar business. A LOT of people believe in it. But it\u2019s not quite right.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Law of Attraction states that \u201cAll thoughts turn into things eventually\u201d or, that whatever you put out into the Universe, the Universe returns to you. <\/span><\/p>\n

And yes, I agree to a certain extent. Whatever effort you put in, that\u2019s the kind of output you\u2019re going to get. If you start a project with a terrible attitude and no forethought, that\u2019s not going to go so great. But your thoughts alone don\u2019t make everything<\/i> happen!<\/span><\/p>\n

3. You think you\u2019re not in control.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Now, I don\u2019t know about you, but I like to be in control. <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m in control of my finances, I\u2019m in control of my business, I\u2019m in control of ME. It makes me feel good. <\/span><\/p>\n

So why would I give that away? And that\u2019s exactly what you\u2019re doing when you say \u201cthe Universe will reward me.\u201d You\u2019re essentially just handing over the keys for your whole life to someone else.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is where sometimes certain people tell me I just CAN\u2019T be serious. \u201cBut Harv! I CAN\u2019T be the one in control! All these things happen when I don\u2019t want them to!\u201d Well, yeah. And we call that life. But what you do NEXT, how you REACT to all those things\u2026 THAT is what you control. And THAT is what really matters. True or true?<\/span><\/p>\n

So now, what\u2019s power thinking?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Power Thinking<\/b><\/span> is the complete opposite of all the positive thinking beliefs up above. It\u2019s the radical belief that you are in control of yourself. That in fact, you are the only thing you control, and the only thing that can control you. So what are the principles of power thinking?<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Events are not good or bad. Things simply happen.<\/span><\/h3>\n

I explained earlier about how \u201cbad\u201d events can be \u201cgood\u201d and \u201cgood events can be \u201cbad,\u201d right? That means that events are neutral<\/b>. All events can be good or bad, depending on how you<\/b> choose to perceive them. <\/span><\/p>\n

2. Your thoughts alone don\u2019t make things happen.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Things don\u2019t happen just because we think about them real hard. <\/span><\/p>\n

Then, what does make things happen? People. People who make decisions and take action every single day. Consistent action creates big and lasting change. <\/span><\/p>\n

3. You are in control.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Power thinkers take full control of their lives. They live by the process of manifestation: First, they take control of their thoughts which then lead to their feelings which then lead to their actions which lead to their RESULTS.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tricky part here is that mastering your thoughts can be a very complicated process. If it were easy, everybody would have already done it!<\/span><\/p>\n

You need the right knowledge, the right support, and a lot of practice to truly master your mind. <\/span><\/p>\n
