All you have to do is start a business!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But for many budding business owners, taking the leap from employee to entrepreneur can be pretty freakin\u2019 intimidating. I get it. Starting a business is a big deal \u2014 and even more so because so many start-ups never make it out of the blocks. In fact, they fail.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Creating a business that not only survives, but thrives, takes a combination of preparation, mindset, skill, and sometimes a little luck. The good news is you can transition from employee to entrepreneur if you change the way you think. If you\u2019re ready to become an entrepreneur, I\u2019ve got three tips to help you succeed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the video above, I outline my top three tips for <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/speedwealth-8-steps-accelerate-wealth-success-infographic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">starting a business<\/a><\/span> before leaving your current job. This advice is based on my own experiences\u2026 on decades of being in business\u2026 on struggling for 12 long years \u2014 <b>and it could save you a LOT of valuable time and money in the long run.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ready?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>1. Make Sure You Have Money Coming in<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One of the things that really bothers me is when people drop their current income to zero in order to start something new. I\u2019m not just talking about a job here \u2014 I mean <i>income<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Regardless of who you are \u2014 when you\u2019re starting out in business, <b>you must take care of cash flow.<\/b> There is no point in jumping in and running hard, only to find out you\u2019ve run out of cash after just two months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Instead, it\u2019s super important to <b>make sure you have money coming in, so you can give your business the chance it deserves.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>2. Start Your Business Part-Time<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Whether you\u2019re in a business that isn\u2019t doing well and you want to start a new one\u2026 OR if you have a job and you want to start a business that you think you\u2019ll love\u2026 I recommend you take this route:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Keep your current situation and start your new business part-time until it\u2019s stable enough for you to fully transition.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The truth is, when you first start your own business, you will have to work your freakin\u2019 buns off. And it may mean that you have to work your 9-to-5 job and go after your dream from 6 to 10. <b>You <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/the-f-word-difference-between-broke-and-rich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">do whatever it takes<\/a><\/span>.<\/b> That\u2019s how it works.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>3. Get Hands-On Experience in Your Field<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This tip is a big one, so pay close attention.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If your new business is similar to what you\u2019re already doing, then you\u2019ve got a nice head start!
