And while jumping into starting a business may seem enticing, there\u2019s a LOT of risks involved if you aren\u2019t prepared.<\/p>\n<p>But starting a business was one of the best decisions I ever made. Don\u2019t get me wrong, I made A LOT of mistakes along the way, but I learned the most impactful lessons from my biggest failures.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re contemplating starting your own business, then I&#8217;m here to cheer you on and offer the tools that helped me and thousands of my students <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/success-factors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">start successful businesses<\/a><\/span> and get rich.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>1. Develop a wealthy mindset<\/h3>\n<p>If you want to be rich, you have to stop thinking (and acting) like a broke person! It\u2019s that simple.<\/p>\n<p>When you <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/11-principles-infographic-financial-freedom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">change the way you think about money<\/a><\/span>, success, wealth, and financial freedom, you can create the life you\u2019ve always wanted.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, becoming successful in business is more about your mindset, passion, and determination than it is about your product or service. Mindset is what separates those who are truly successful from the people who are struggling to get by.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>2. Be in the right business at the right time<\/h3>\n<p>If you aren\u2019t in the right business at the right time, I can almost guarantee you won\u2019t get rich. It\u2019s like trying to sell snowblowers in the desert. You might have an amazing product, but nobody needs it!<\/p>\n<p>Not only is timing important, but you also have to love what you do, otherwise, you\u2019ll be <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/follow-your-passion-or-youll-exit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">looking for an exit<\/a><\/span>. When you\u2019re passionate about your business, you\u2019ll do whatever it takes to make it work.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, you have to be good (I mean REALLY good) at what you do. And if you\u2019re not the best at what you do, then make sure you become the best! Go work for someone who&#8217;s doing what you want to do and learn all you can before you start your own business. Then, take what you know and make it better to set yourself apart from the crowd. Good or good?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>3. Understand how to solve a problem<\/h3>\n<p>There\u2019s only one place you can get money from &#8212; other people, but last I checked, very few people are willing to pay you for doing nothing! In order to get rich in business, you have to solve problems!<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve mastered problem-solving for a few people, you have to master it at a larger scale.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>4. Systemize your business<\/h3>\n<p>If your business can\u2019t run without you, you\u2019ll never \u2014 I repeat \u2014 NEVER get rich. That\u2019s why systems are so important!<\/p>\n<p>A <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/systemize-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">systemized business<\/a><\/span> has a repeatable process in place that produces a profit.<\/p>\n<p>My number one rule of wealth is <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/wealth-rule-1-no-limits-on-your-income\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NO LIMITS ON YOUR INCOME<\/a><\/span>, so if you have to be present for your business to work, you\u2019re automatically limiting your earning potential.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>5. Duplicate<\/h3>\n<p>Now that you have a system in place, scaling up should be as simple as washing, rinse, and repeat.<\/p>\n<p>Duplication is how you take your business to the next level, help more people, and make a lot of money.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>6. Sell, sell, sell!<\/h3>\n<p>If you want to make the difference between earning a living and becoming rich, you have to be ready to sell your business!<br \/>\nInvestors are always looking for businesses to purchase that run on their own because they are money machines!
