When do you say, \u201cenough is enough,\u201d and you\u2019ve reached your max?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the video above, I share several tips to help you avoid that feeling of burnout and learn how to confidently say, \u201cno.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you\u2019re ready to learn more, read on.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cSaying \u2018yes\u2019 to one thing means saying \u2018no\u2019 to something else.\u201d<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The above statement is a quote I hear so often, and it couldn\u2019t be more true.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When you say \u2018yes\u2019 to everything, what\u2019s the chance of you doing a good job on everything? Very unlikely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Agreeing to take too much on your plate could potentially lead to serious burnout.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s a time struggle \u2014 you only have so much of it. It\u2019s impossible to do everything &#8211; and even more impossible to do everything well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When you say yes to something, keep in mind that it means closing the door to something else &#8211; which is absolutely okay.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Life is full of choices, and the choices you make lead you down your life path (which is different for everyone)! These choices make you &#8211; you.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">When You Say \u201cYes,\u201d You\u2019re Trading In Your Time &amp; Effort\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Can you handle more on your plate? Will you have to give up something else that you enjoy? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">What opportunity does this offer to you and your life? What are the pros and the cons? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">And the most critical question to ask yourself; do you want to do what you\u2019re being asked to do? Is it going to take away from more important things in your life \u2014 bigger priorities?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s about stress management and self-care. You want to truly be able to enjoy your life. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But if your life is filled with things you said \u2018yes\u2019 to &#8211; but don\u2019t really want to do (or don\u2019t really fulfill you), you aren\u2019t really living a Level 10 Life.<\/span><span class=\"s1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Below are a few tell-tale signs of overwhelm and an incessant desire to always say \u201cYes\u201d&#8230;<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<h2 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>1. You never have enough time for the things that make you happy.<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We all go through busy seasons. You may have a couple weeks where you just don\u2019t have a chance to sit down. That\u2019s life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But if those busy seasons happen more often than not, you might be headed straight for a brick wall called &#8220;burnout.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If this sounds like your life, you need to focus on setting boundaries. Saying \u2018no\u2019 won\u2019t make you a jerk. In fact, it makes you responsible and more reliable! And you need to take responsibility for your own life and your goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Narrowing down that \u201cto-do\u201d list and removing things that don\u2019t serve you or make you happy is the first step to living life on your terms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Once you identify the things that are most important to you and eliminate the things that aren\u2019t, you free yourself up to achieve the success you\u2019ve been searching for.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a02. <\/span><b><\/b><span class=\"s1\"><b>You\u2019re worried about the future instead of being focused on the present.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Let&#8217;s get to the root of what overwhelm is. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>Overwhelming is the experience of fear, <\/i><\/b>and fear is the feeling that there is not enough. Not enough time, enough resources, enough money, or a fear that if you don\u2019t try to do it all, you may miss that big break.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That fear is why overwhelm always feels bad. You may feel pressure, stress, or anxiety, but at the end of the day, it all boils down to fear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">So, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/overcome-fear-to-unlock-potential\/\"><span class=\"s3\">how do you overcome that fear or limiting belief?<\/span><\/a>?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You could cut down on the to-do list. I\u2019m going to believe or think of something else.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Then, take a moment to reframe it. For example, take the fear I mentioned earlier: <em>\u201cIf I don\u2019t take on this task at work, my boss won\u2019t think I\u2019m qualified.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Stop and think: <b>Where did that come from? Did it come from other people? Is it based on <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff !important;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/stop-worrying-about-what-other-people-think\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">what other people think<\/a><\/span>? Is it true?\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bottomline:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\"> Fear is merely the anticipation of pain. <\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s1\"><strong>That said, you have the choice to let it go and believe something else.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Why would you want to cut yourself off from being successful now just because you\u2019re worried about something that <i>might<\/i> happen in the future?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I always say, <em>\u201cWhy don\u2019t we just cross that bridge when we get there? How about you become super successful now, and worry about any problems as they come up?\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Once you stop worrying about what\u2019s going to happen in the future and start living in the moment, you\u2019ll be amazed at how much progress you make in a short time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While your fear may not go away, reassurance can help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/dbatyt\/invite\/v2\/green\/?utm_campaign=soip_content&amp;utm_medium=post&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_content=blog-learn-to-say-no&amp;utm_term=cta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s3\">train your mind<\/span><\/a> to handle this emotion in a more productive way. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The next time fear stops you in your tracks, you\u2019ll be better prepared to realize that you can manage whatever comes your way.
