Only by knowing what you&#8217;re striving for can you begin to track your progress and make real change. Let me explain how I discovered what I wanted from life and teaching so that you too can live a life of triumph. In fact, teaching took on the most meaning for me\u00a0when I noticed that I had an effect on people.<\/p>\n<p>I began to notice that people would tell me that their lives were changing based on stuff I would teach them. At that point, teaching then became more about being of service than being financially successful. After all, I&#8217;ve realized that the way I think about success and wealth can have real impacts on me spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially.<\/p>\n<p>So how is your definition of success impacting your life? Well, when people say \u201csuccess,\u201d they usually mean achievement, yes?<\/p>\n<p><strong>To \u201cbe\u201d successful is to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Have enough money to do what you want (achieving freedom)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Be good at something and recognized for it (achieving significance)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Enjoy relationships, have a family (achieving emotional happiness and stability)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Do good and be respected in your community (achieving self-worth &amp; connectivity)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Right?<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the thing \u2014 I\u2019m not saying all these things aren\u2019t great, but they aren\u2019t the true measures of success. If you get too caught up in these definitions, you might lose out on your real potential. You might miss the true wealth you&#8217;re worth.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why my definition of success is quite simple: living your purpose.<br \/>\n<span id=\"How To Live Your Purpose\" class=\"anchor\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>How To Live Your Purpose<\/h3>\n<p>All those other things we typically associate with success aren\u2019t so much \u201csuccesses\u201d to attain as much as they are gifts that make us feel happier and more comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>We do what we need to do to \u201cget\u201d what we want, and there\u2019s nothing wrong with that. However, my only concern is that the \u201cattainment\u201d of these \u201csuccesses\u201d (i.e. desires that are not necessarily coming from our higher selves) is taking us away from living our purpose.<\/p>\n<p>The truth is, some people\u2019s purpose isn\u2019t to attain big houses and other &#8220;stuff.&#8221; Instead, some people\u2019s purpose is to lead others through the sacrifice of such things, shaping the world beyond what they actually get to see in their lives. You can think of a few spiritual teachers who fit this bill, yes?<\/p>\n<p>I believe that when we are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/4-reasons-purpose-can-make-you-rich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">living our purpose<\/a> \u2013 in truth and sincerity \u2013 we are living out what we are intended to be.<\/p>\n<p>So I ask again, are you living your life\u2019s purpose? Do you even know what it is?<br \/>\n<span id=\"Do you have to compromise\" class=\"anchor\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Do you have to compromise having a successful business with a successful personal life?<\/h3>\n<p>For some people, they think it has to be an &#8220;either\/or&#8221; scenario when it comes to defining success and finding their purpose. I will ask them to define successful lives. They will either focus on people they know who either have successful small businesses yet failing relationships or great personal relationships but struggling careers. And, unfortunately, these people are still not entirely happy with where they are in life.<\/p>\n<p>How do you get one without compromising the other?<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you can get so tied up on trying to be happy with one aspect of your life that you are pulling all your energy away from the other aspects. It&#8217;s not a question on having only a limited amount of energy, time, and dedication that you can only place into one part of your life, as you hope that the other pieces fall into place on their own. It is seeking out a life&#8217;s purpose that will allow you to reach your higher self, as you can join your personal life and your career together into a dynamic and successful force. You can find long-term success and happiness in both your business and your personal life, once you understand your purpose.<br \/>\n<span id=\"how to\u00a0find your purpose\" class=\"anchor\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>How To Find Your Purpose<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5206 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/4\/files\/2017\/07\/How-To-Live-Your-Purpose.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/07\/How-To-Live-Your-Purpose.png 1200w, https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/07\/How-To-Live-Your-Purpose-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/07\/How-To-Live-Your-Purpose-1024x768.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.harveker.com\/blog\/files\/2017\/07\/How-To-Live-Your-Purpose-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you think you don&#8217;t, you actually do. How do I know this? Because only you can know it! Nobody can tell you what that is \u2014 you have to figure it out for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you&#8217;re truly unsure of what your life purpose is, my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harvekeronline.com\/ppp\/invite\/vb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">free webinar<\/a>\u00a0may help you discover your calling so you can be the highest version of yourself. That way, you can live the life you&#8217;ve always wanted.<\/p>\n<p>For me, I know my purpose has been and will continue to be helping people by offering information, education, and inspiration to really live from courage, purpose, and joy. I want to encourage people to turn away from fear, need and obligation. I do think that for most of us can live our purpose and enjoy the gifts, i.e. the \u201csuccesses\u201d that come with it.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, I don\u2019t believe any one person\u2019s dharma (think of it as a life duty we\u2019re born into) is more or less significant than another\u2019s \u2014 they\u2019re just different levels of intensification and vibration each of us puts out into the world. Understanding your own vibration is how I define a successful life.<br \/>\n<span id=\"The 3 Enemies Keeping You From Living Your Purpose\" class=\"anchor\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>The 3 Enemies Keeping You From Living Your Purpose<\/h3>\n<p>However, as you seek out your purpose, there are inner enemies that will try to keep you from reaching your full potential. These tendencies can strip you of the life you&#8217;re meant to live. They are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Living from fear<\/li>\n<li>Living from need<\/li>\n<li>Living from obligation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I guarantee that as you really look at what it is you do in life, you will be blown away by what you observe. For most people, 90% of the time they\u2019re living in fear, need, or obligation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell I have to do this (stay at a crappy job, for example).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have to do it because (fill-in-the-blank).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These excuses take you out of your higher self. They take you out of your zone. Worst of all, they take you out of your happiness. As real as those reasons may be, you won\u2019t be looking for a solution if you stay attached to fear, need, or obligation.<\/p>\n<p>So, how have fear, need, and obligation affected you and your life\u2019s purpose?
