This is true even for artists and other professions. You have to become good at sales and even better at <em>closing<\/em> sales. To do that, you have to develop some characteristics that give you the extra push to find sales success. When you learn to be bold and courage, you&#8217;ll close sales efficiently.<\/p>\n<h3>3 Ways to Close a Sale<\/h3>\n<p>Now, how do you close a sale? There\u2019s three ways to do it. The best way is the <strong>invitational close<\/strong>. <em>\u2018Do you like this? How does this sound?\u2019<\/em> Doing this invites feedback. <em>\u2018If it sounds pretty good, why don\u2019t you give it a try?\u2019<\/em> Assume that when you\u2019ve answered a question or an objection, it\u2019s the equivalent of them having decided to buy.<\/p>\n<p>Or you can use what\u2019s called an <strong>alternative close<\/strong>. <em>\u2018Would you prefer this or that?\u2019<\/em> You offer a choice between A or B. The probability of them picking one or the other goes up dramatically if they have a choice, and whichever one they say \u2018Yes\u2019 to is a sale you&#8217;ve made.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a neat trick from one of the masters, Brian Tracy: if you <strong>get the customer to give you a single piece of information<\/strong>, you\u2019ve successfully used the power of suggestion. <em>\u2018How do you spell your last name exactly?\u2019 <\/em>If they give you the spelling of their last name, they\u2019ve bought the product. It\u2019s very powerful.<\/p>\n<h3>The Best Sales Tip: Developing Boldness and Courageousness<\/h3>\n<p>In the end, the most important quality for a sales success is boldness. All qualities are habits, habits of thought and action. Because of childhood conditioning, we have fears of failure and rejection. These are learned over time because children have no fears. We learn them as we grow up, but this also means we possess the ability to unlearn them. The way you excavate the fear of failure and rejection is by doing the opposite of what you would do in a failure or rejection situation.<\/p>\n<p>When we back away from fear, it grows and grows. Soon it will dominate your whole life, and it will paralyze you. But when you confront the fear, it will get smaller and smaller and become manageable. <strong>So, for the rest of your life make a habit of doing the things you fear.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With time you will develop the habit of courage. You reach the point where you\u2019re not afraid of anything. <strong>The key to your success as a person and as an entrepreneur is to develop the habit of courage.<\/strong>\u00a0You&#8217;ll move toward control of the fear when you attack every single situation that makes you feel scared or nervous. You pick up the phone. You make the call. You knock on the door. You ask for the order.<\/p>\n<p>Whenever you feel afraid, do that which you fear. In a week, a month, or a year from now, your fears will diminish. As your fears go down, your confidence and your self-esteem go up, and you start to feel fabulous about yourself.
