Living a life of passion means spending most of your time doing something that you love and feel good about. And it means making no apologies for living your passion.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of myths about passion that many people believe, and as a result, they stay stuck in a life that doesn’t really fit them.
One of the biggest myths is that you can’t get rich – or even make a living – doing something you love. Well-meaning parents, teachers, and friends tell you to “get a good job” that pays well, even if you don’t like it. You can have fun on the weekends. Or when you retire.
This is TERRIBLE advice!
The truth is you can achieve the success you want while doing what you love to do. In my experience, that’s the ONLY way to get the chance to achieve… a more fun, passionate, rich, and meaningful life.
One key part of channeling your passion for wealth and success is having the right vehicle. That means a business or career that’s in high demand AND expresses who you are… one that will let you succeed financially, and also align with your passion!
The right vehicle has to be the right fit for you.
How To Know If Passion Is Missing In Your Life
When passion is missing, it’s pretty obvious. Sadly, most people ignore the signs or assume “that’s just how life is.”
Let’s look at some of these signs, so you can be on the lookout for them in your life.
First of all, how do feel when you get up in the morning? Are you happy and excited about your day?
What about Sunday night, after you’ve had a day or two off, and you know it’s back to work in the morning… how do you feel then? Excited? Inspired? Or like a lot of people, do you feel a knot in your stomach and a growing sense of dread?
Do you often find yourself searching for some missing link to complete your life?
Are you fully engaged in whatever you’re doing, or are you always looking for an exit?
Do you justify what you’re doing in life with thoughts like, “It’s not that bad,” or “At least I have benefits”?
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not living with passion. You’re suffering in a life you weren’t made for. And unless you make a change, things will just keep getting worse.
The Sad Results Of A Passionless Life
So what happens if you ignore these signs and continue on the conventional, “safe” path?
This is one of the biggest problems most people have – their business or job doesn’t fit who they really are. They’ve settled for a mediocre life.
Then they either “stick it out” to pay the bills while their soul withers away… or they jump from one situation to another, searching for the “right” opportunity.
They end up bored, frustrated, or floating through life feeling disconnected, not present and not happy. They’re exhausted, depressed, and anxious.
And I speak from my own experience. Before I figured any of this out, I had 14 different jobs and 12 different businesses in 10 years – I was searching for the “right” work.
I spent all my time looking for the hottest new businesses and upcoming trends.
I tried anything where I thought I could make a lot of money quickly.
I was sure this was the route to happiness and success.
But where did I end up? Broke and UNhappy because my life lacked meaning and fulfillment.
I now feel incredibly blessed to have found a better way. A lot of people stay on this kind of path their entire life… and leave this world full of regret.
Your time is your most precious asset, and if you’re not spending it doing something you enjoy and feel good about, you’re wasting your life.
And you know it. You might feel weighed down by sadness and regret, or numb and unable to truly enjoy your life. And even if you achieve some success, it can feel empty and meaningless.
Why Living With Passion Is The Best Path To True Success
So now you might be wondering, “Well, how does following my passion help me be successful?”
Great question! Let’s start with a quote from Steve Jobs, one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time:
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
When you’re doing something you’re passionate about, you’ll be more committed to your work. So you’ll do better work and get better results… both for yourself and the people your work impacts, including customers, bosses, and colleagues.
You’ll have more energy and creativity. You’ll feel more inspired and excited, and it will show in the quality of your work. Plus you’ll be happier doing something you’re passionate about AND have more energy for other areas of your life… instead of feeling drained all the time.
And here’s another big secret about doing something you love: instead of settling for mediocrity, you’re training your mind for high achievement. So the more you focus on your passion, the more you develop a success mindset, and the more success you achieve. Your positive results start to snowball!
How To Harness Your Passion So Good Things Come Your Way
Okay, so let’s talk about how to make the shift to living with passion AND getting a lot of money in the process.

Next, know your purpose. This is your ‘why,’ your mission in life. I believe we all have a purpose, and that includes you.
Now, that’s my belief – it’s not true or false. But if you want more success and happiness in your life, I highly encourage you to adopt this belief. Living with purpose gives you meaning and fulfillment… everything that success is actually made of!
Finally, there’s your vision for profit. You have to know how to turn your passion and purpose into something that helps people, so they’ll pay you for it. You can start small, but your ultimate vision should be HUGE… if you want to achieve a high level of success and wealth.
A lot of people have followed their passion… and ended up broke! You MUST have a plan to profit financially!
Don’t Make These Common “Following-Your-Passion” Mistakes
There are a lot of mistakes people make when trying to build a life around their passion. Here are some of the most common:
- They haven’t figured out their true passion.
They confuse a temporary interest, or someone else’s passion, for something they have a deep connection to, but that ends up not being the case.
- They don’t address their mindset blocks around living with passion.
At some level, they think they don’t deserve to follow their passion, that it won’t work, or they’re not allowed to… and on and on. All this mindfrick keeps them from fully pursuing their passion. They might avoid it, half-ass it, or even unconsciously sabotage their own efforts so they can prove their fears were right.
- They’re too focused on their ego-self.
I know this might seem counterintuitive since we’re talking about living based on your passion. But when you do this right, you’ll be surprised to find out it’s not really about you. Or rather, it’s about your higher self, which is connected to other people, the planet, and even the Universe.
Focusing only on your desires deprives you of the satisfaction, fulfillment, and positive energy that comes from helping others and being part of something larger.
- They don’t learn how to channel their passion for profit.
They don’t know how to package what they love in a way that gets people excited to pay them. And they fail to pick a specific direction and stay focused and motivated.
