The following is an analogy that I use in one of my courses:
Imagine that you’re on a freeway or an expressway and you are looking for a specific exit.
You think it’s coming up but you’re not sure.
What lane are you on? Are you in the passing lane or the slow lane?
You’re going to be driving in the slow lane looking for that exit because you’re not sure when it’s going to come up. You don’t want to miss it, right?
However, when you’re not looking for an exit, you’d probably be driving in the fast lane, right?
Similarly, when you are in a business or a job that you don’t have a passion for — or have very little interest in and doesn’t suit you at all — you’d most likely be doing it to make money.
But when you’re in a job that doesn’t sing to your heart, do you know what’s going to happen?
Subconsciously you’ll be thinking, “How do I get out of here? What else could I do? This isn’t fulfilling. I’m not happy.”
So would you be driving in the fast lane or the slow lane?
You’re going to be driving in the slow lane.
What’s the result going to be?
You won’t be performing as well as you could be.
Even though you think you’re going to make more money by going for the money, you actually won’t make more money because you won’t perform at your best, because you’ll be driving in the slow lane. That’s all there is to it.
It’s better to be doing something that you’re passionate about and something that you are interested in. You need to be doing something that involves making good use of your personal strengths and talents.
At least then you’ll be driving in the fast lane rather than being unsure and becoming stuck in the slow lane.

Don’t Focus On The Vehicle You Think Would Make You Rich — Focus On The Vehicle That Would Make You Happy & Fulfilled!
Remember my own story. I have the right to teach because I was broke for so long, and eventually, I analyzed the principles that kept me broke versus the principles that made me rich. And one of the biggest principles was that I was too focused on the vehicle that I thought would get me rich.
I tried that 12 times, and it didn’t work for me. I only finally recognized it when a friend of mine sent me a product and said, “You be the distributor out of Florida, and I’ll just take the West Coast. I’m killing it. I am making about $20,000 a month right now, and I just started!”
I’m thinking, “Oh my god. Are you kidding? I’m not even making $20,000 in two years! This is fantastic.” He was one of my best friends. He called me every day and asked, “How are you doing?” He gave me tips and all that.
Do you know what happened? Three months later, he was making $30,000 a month, and I was making nothing.
I couldn’t make a sale, get an account or do anything, and I couldn’t believe it. My best friend is doing well with it.
I looked in the mirror and for the very first time I said something that came directly from Spirit.
“Harv, what if it’s not the vehicle? What if it’s you? ”
I then made a decision to pursue the same wealth I’d been pursuing all along, but in an area I’d just as happily work in for free, and the rest I won’t bother repeating here.
Needless to say, things worked out.
To Be Successful, Find An Area That Is Aligned With Your Heart, Passion, Gifts & Strengths
The bottom line is that you only need to do well in areas that are in tune with your spirit, heart, passion, gifts, and strengths if you want to be truly successful.
If you choose a vehicle only because you think it’s going to make you rich – and not because it’s your true calling – you’ll always be unconsciously looking for a way out, an exit. You’ll always perform poorly, and you’ll always be unhappy. True or true?
So what should you do if you’re not living your passion and purpose… but want to?

I feel I’ve outgrown what I have been doing for 18 years because it needs to grow to another level altogether.
I’m absolutely passionate about travel and have found my ideal location for women’s transformational retreats, which is the other thing I feel passionate about.
I would say what keeps me from thinking that I could become wealthy from this is that I don’t think big enough. I’m not sure where my clients would come from.

But my biggest problem is finding my purpose. I sont know my purpose. But i for sure know that i do feel great and happy when i help someone with his problem. i feel great helping people. could this be my line of passion?
Yes. Absolutely. You could be a teacher, trainer, consultant, coach. Just think along those lines.

For 20 years I followed my one and only passion being a professional musician.
Over the last five years a new passion grew for personal growth and personal development.
Since I’m not fulfilled anymore by music but love teaching and helping people I am right now transitioning to being a coach and trainer for personal transformation.
Right now having no paying clients I feel overwhelmed and fearful how it will turn out. I know I can give people a lot. I am great at empowering people to see all their resources and to bring them to a place of confidence.
However right now I don’t see
how this is going to lead to wealth but I am sure it’s simply because my unrelaxed mind cannot see the bigger picture and is focused on how to make a living instead of how to make the biggest impact in the world.

I have a passion to start a non-profit company, but I am afraid that I don’t have a good speaking voice and have had a fear of public speaking. I practice voice exercises just to talk to anyone each day. Do you think there is any hope for me? Also this would be a charity but, I haven’t got a business background.

I am very much interested and passionate about doing calligraphy and abstract artwork because it’s what that has saved my life.
I have been a patient for the last ten years who has been disable too because of the stricken with the early onset of adult scoliosis as well as depression and now I have other disorders as side effects from this scoliosis.
So I think my physical limitations are wgat causing hindrances to what I want to achieve.
The thing is I sometimes just want to give altogether.
I need to earn money so I could be able to pay my own medical bills!!
