Whatever situation you’re in, it’s not the actual situation that determines your life. It’s your response to it.
That means you have got to practice being the wizard, the one who goes with the flow… the one who is attraction-based… the one who is able to allow things to unfold, who is patient… the one who breathes a lot and maintains their happiness no matter what chaos is going on.
If you are one of the millions of people out there who derives your satisfaction and happiness from how well you’re doing, you will not be a happy person for a lot of your life — because then you’ll have the type of mind that is always looking for what’s wrong, so ultimately you cannot win.
I was one of these people who derived a lot of my happiness from my success. When I play golf, for example, I’m not really all that successful. The funny thing is that golf’s important to me, and I’m working on it the best I can, but I find myself stressed out playing golf. Why is that? It’s supposed to be an enjoyable game.
It’s because I want to do well, and if I don’t do well I’m not happy with myself. It’s the same thing with business and every other part of your life.
About three weeks ago, I played golf. In golf you play 18 holes. There’s a front nine and the back nine. On the back nine, I played better than I had in 20 years. I thought, “Wow! Who is this guy playing all of a sudden?” Everything I was doing was working.
At the end of it I was happy, but then right away my mind went into thinking, “This isn’t going to last. You’d better get ready for disappointment, because next time it isn’t going to be so easy. It took 20 years to have a round like this.”
Of course, the next time I played I wasn’t quite as good, and I was not happy again. I thought to myself, “I should just give up this game. It’s really stupid. It’s not good for my back.” I started to make myself crazy.
This is what everybody tends to do. It’s not “the golf.” It’s me.
I’m going to give you a principle that will instantly create happiness in your life…
If you can grow yourself to a person that is bigger than any of your problems, you’ll be a happy person.
If you can grow yourself to the person that is the wizard, a person who succeeds with elegance and joy — you will be a person that is bothered by very little.
If you can be that kind of person that is bigger than any of your challenging moments or roadblocks, and instead, use them to help you learn and grow, then you’ll have the biggest success of life, which is to grow yourself to the best version of yourself — the best version of yourself in business, money, relationships, and your health. If you can grow yourself to that level, you will be successful at anything you do.
Highly successful people are bigger than their problems while unsuccessful people are smaller than their problems.
Now I want you to think about something for a moment…
If you’re still with me, then maybe you can handle what I’ll call the truth for most people. Most people just can’t handle it. However, I believe reading this lesson in the first place puts you into a class of people that can.
I want to ask you a hard question:
What are you really like when life gets hard? What do you do or not do when the going is not so good?
Successful people dig deep and do whatever it takes, and I mean whatever it takes, to succeed.
Successful people make goals and take action when life becomes hard.
They finhttps://blog.harveker.com/2-questions-to-live-your-ultimate-lifed solutions and put systems into place so they can overcome problems, learn from them, and spend more time on the things that are really important to their life.
What do unsuccessful people do? They do what they always do when it gets hard. They quit, give up and say, “This business is too hard. This company has this problem. The product has this problem. If I went over there to that other company or business, then I could really succeed.” It’s the old “there is better than here” excuse. In other words, the grass is greener.
But here’s the reality, my friends, like it or not: If you can’t make it here, you won’t make it there or anywhere else.
It’s not about the other company or business. It’s about the you that’s going to either be bigger or smaller than any challenge life has to give you — happy and successful or side-railed by inevitable bumps along the way. The choice is always yours.

Es totalmente enriquecedor y motivador el saber que existen personajes como tu Harv Eker, en este momento estoy talvez en los tiempos donde las cosas son mas dificiles al emprender, pero no dare un paso atras hasta comvertirme en una persona exitosa.
I have had so many failures, due to poor timing, hate crimes against my person-which stripped me of my momentum so that I could heal, or at least started me on another journey I didn’t expect. I am a great person to talk about resilience, because man do I have it, although it is painful learning to jump the hurdles and get over the painful trauma memories, and keep a positive outlook. I love reading your articles because they remind me of the abilities I have and the ones I need to work on.
Since being introduced to your books and websites by colleagues, I have been asking myself quite a few of the questions about myself, that other people have asked me and I could not answer. You have really opened my eyes to quite a few of the things I have been doing wrong, and/or I just needed a kick in the butt to start working on. The only one who can change my life is me. I intend with your help and guidance as well as friends and family to change my life to get it back on track to where it is supposed to be. If Jack Canfield and Tony Robbins endorse your teachings than I know I am on the right track.
Truly said !
We can all find reasons why we can’t do something: we don’t have time (usually total rubbish) we are so busy, so what? We all have 24 hours in a day. It’s too hard–if we gave up when we tried to walk the first time, we would still be crawling, it hurts,… but since we really ought to be finding reasons why we can do something, one step at a time even if it is just to prove that “they” were wrong!
Awesome totally agree ?
