Embrace Your Inner Warrior

Most people in our culture are pretty far removed from the realities of what we generally think of as “warriors.” In a pop-culture kind of way, the idea evokes images of swords, shields and ancient wars.
I think it’s important to seriously embrace the concepts behind what it means to be a warrior, and not the part about swords and shields. I’m talking about mental preparation—focus and awareness of mind, body and spirit so the warrior can be optimal to do what needs to be done when the moment calls.
We don’t experience quite the same intensity in our daily lives, but on some levels we do. The point isn’t about what the “warrior” is going to do; it’s who the warrior will be that will direct the action.
The definition we use of warrior is “One who conquers oneself.” The path of the spiritual warrior is not about power over others but power over yourself; being your true self. Only then can correct action follow, and the warrior’s way is the way of action.
It’s not just big actions in big moments. It’s about developing a habit; a bias toward action in your everyday life, and being able to reach your dreams because of this. Fear is what holds people back—fear of failing, or some perceived ridicule or pain for failing.
One of the most basic principles of the warrior is to be willing to make mistakes. The most successful people are willing to mess things up every now and then! They don’t take mistakes personally as an affront to their self-worth. They use mistakes as their primary form of learning.
You’ll get feedback based on action, and then you can make corrections. You go back to more action, maybe more mistakes, and make more corrections until you get it right.
But what happens in the feedback loop for a lot of people? We make mistakes and beat ourselves up unmercifully. In our society we have such a stigma on “failure” that we’re not willing to do anything, especially anything big we really want.
Take action! Successful people trust themselves. They’re willing to take the chance.
Break out of the prison of the conditioned mind and come from true choice in the present moment. That’s power. Power is when you don’t have to be who you were yesterday, or two years ago, or whenever.
You have to be present in the moment and come from true choice. If you don’t come from the moment and can’t trust yourself, then you’re coming from your programs of the past.
Be whatever you have to be at the time. Being unattached to thoughts and beliefs means you can be free to be whatever you need to be right now. That’s the way of the spiritual warrior.
Now it’s your turn! What do you want to do in your life that you are waiting for the right situation? What would happen if you actually went for it right now? Do you have any experiences in embracing your “spiritual warrior”?
Your feedback is very valuable so make sure to leave a comment and start a conversation with the other T. Harv Eker community members!
For your freedom,

Hi,
I thank you so much for this article ” Embrace Your Inner Warrior.” Yes, since more thirty years, i I’m kissing my warrior. But I can assure you that it is grueling. Currently I have a collection of several hundred dollars in UBS in Zurich for which I paid over $ 100,000 of fees so that UBS can transfer my funds into my account. Believe it or not, once the last fees paid, no more news from UBS in Zurich up to present days. Do you think that there is something to do?
Dear M. Eker, I happily read this article which boosts my courage and my determination. Your article is like the essence in the car motor. Your article helps me to better embrace my warrior with the power of present every day. I will overcome.
Thank you so much.
E.
What is UBS?
The only way to embrace your Inner warrior is being the Master of your fate and not the slave of destiny.
ok i read it so what is the actual lesson , is it to do whatever this month and make mistakes to get better or am i looking at the wrong thing here?
That’s how I read it. Take action on something you’ve been holding off out of procrastination, reason or fear.
ok i read it so what is the actual lesson , is it to do whatever this month and make mistakes to get better or am i looking at the wrong thing here?
This morning I drove to a park to have a talk with GOD the creator of the Universe and decided it was time for me to make some changes. I felt like a huge rock was lifted from my body, mind and soul. Then later in the day I read your article, “Embrace Your Inner Warrior.” The connection was no coincidence. Thank You and God Bless!!
Awesome. Most ppl think its Out there. Its not. Its In your own mind. The sword is your focus and thoughts. Beautiful article
I find the part about realising that mistakes are merely a type of feedback from one’s actions to be particularly important. They point out that perhaps a different approach or method ought to be tried. Of course, true warrior mentality is about never giving up. But this lesson made me see the assertion “get rich or die trying,” in an enhanced light; by bringing out that the trying part is not about doing the same thing over and over without taking into account the feedback. Thank you Harv!
This was a powerful read! Right on time with what I’m struggling with. I need to find my inner warrior, so that I can become the person God created me to become. Thanks!
come to the Millionaire Mind Intensive! Begin your journey
LOVE it! Thank you Harv for the leadership in discovering my Inner Warrior and following this way. Mistakes are welcome because I know they are teachers. When challenges come up, I look them square in the eye and say, “Oh no you don’t!” LOL Love the journey!
Taking action is key! Even the smallest step adds to the progress. I have finally stopped asking others what I should do and just started doing! What a difference! I make mistakes but they are mine and I cherish the lessons and personal growth that stems from them.
Awesome Kelly, I need to do the same. Baby steps every day lead to bigger steps. Thank you for encourageing me.
I still need to work on this lesson every day in spite of the fact that taking a leap of faith and becoming a landlord (making many mistakes along the way) has paid off.
Thanks for the reminder lesson that you have to take chances and make mistakes to grow!
This lesson is right on time. I needed this message.
Come to Millionaire Mind Intensive! Begin your journey
Me too!!
I used to know a true warrior, a helicopter gunship pilot. When asked how he handled flying just above treetop and knowing that other warriors were out to shoot him down, he replied that “he would step out of himself and ask “what am I going to have ‘him’ do?”” He would, so to speak, look over his own shoulder, assess the situation and have the man in front of him take the appropriate action. NLP practitioners call this ~ taking 3rd position.
To me this is the master strategy:
Disassociate with the situation and, his case, make lightning quick life and death calculations.
Fortunately, most of us aren’t in situations like his.
Training, awareness are both components of this master life strategy.
Alas, I’m still a learner of this strategy.
I did not realize how much I missed you until
this morning, when I opened your newest, latest
and greatest e-mail.
thank goodness!

Thanks Harv, that is quite an inspirational message to us. Indeed, I will embrace my inner warrior after reading your powerful message. I am a type of a lady who used to postpone things believing the time was not right or the problem was money to commence different projects. I have also been disappointed by associates and friends on several occasions, more especially on financial related matters. However, upon reading your message, I have decided to put an end to postponement and I am determined to unleash the warrior within me. Watch out for the space, the next millionaire is coming up.
I can’t wait to attend your Millionaire Mind Intensive Course on 9th August 2013 in Johannesburg. Although, I am based in Tanzania but I will travel to South Africa just to attend your intensive seminar.
Please keep the good work going on.
Regards,
Neema
All you say is perfectly true and people need this awareness now more than ever before.
Thank you,
Annie
That’s very true! We should start changing the world from ourself. The power is in me 🙂
From with in ourselves is the absolute only way to change the world. Any other kind of way will not have effect.
Hi Harv,
thank you very much for making things so clear in a short way. You are always coming to the important point. Because of your teaching and courses (Enlightend warrior) I could change my body, got rid of some poisen and this cleared my view and I could change my flat and my work – got a better contract and no limitation on my commission. Thank you so much. God bless you and all my love to you and your family. Hanna
This is the right moment for me today. I decided this week to sell a business that takes most of my time and jump into that plan B business. The plan B was begun 2 years ago and now requires that leap of faith as a warrior to make it soar. I trust my choice to depend on me to do whatever it takes. I won’t allow me to stop me now…I have learned to see the forest through the trees on it. The fun has started.
I believe I am in a ‘warrior’ situation at the moment because of a business we have started in a new town.
Finding good people is one of the rarest commodoties.
I believe it will be a success, provided we have the correct mindset and systems in place.
Can anyone give me an advice on how to get to the “massive action” mode? I am vocally self critical, I have a lack on consistency and volume of my action in my business, how can I fix this?
go to Blair Singer.com and find the little voice mastery. That did it for me!
What if you didn’t believe you were all those things? What would you go out and do if you were to believe the opposite? Are those beliefs helping you excel or holding your back? Have they become your excuses for action? Do you really want to claim those beliefs anymore?
Learning from past mistakes without taking them personally particularly resonates with me. I spend too much time beating myself up about what went wrong in the past. I need to find that inner warrior and not let her go! I am so grateful to have found you Harv – you are a great teacher.
This is powerful and so motivating! Thanks Harv.
It is amazing how 7 years after Warrior Camp and 3 years after MOSHOG that I really do not have to think about this behavior. It is part of me! Success comes now with peace instead of worry. Failure is not the end of the world (Oh, maybe for a moment). I just keep doing the next thing. Some people “luck” into wealth, but for most it takes doing what ever it takes and all of the above, time and time again. All of my actions include the above way of thinking and that alone makes for a happier life. Thanks Harv & Peaks!
Hi Harv! I am 42 years old I live in Tajikistan, and not speak very well English, but really want to change my thinking and my life respectively. To tell the truth your book is not the first in my life, but I never believed how to believe now. every time I start and throw, but now I was “sick of it.” I will work, I want to be rich
2 years after warrior camp and been doing several kind of businesses. I did not have the right me, so everything failed. I feel completly satisfied being a mom for the coming years, that’s being in my true self. I made a decision, this is what I will do for my sons 15 and 20. I am finally a true warrior. My business will blossom because of this attitude! thanks for being my mentor Harv!
I have just finished the millionaire mind intensive course! Wow! I feel that I can conquer the world I never new that i could feel this way!!! …..and now……I am ready to go for it. !!! Thank you for an amazing motivational course/lesson
Thank you for a very powerful and insightful post and I agree it is important to embrace who we are right now and allow that energy to come through and be appreciative of all that we can share. xx I am in this new phase of my life now where I am open to opportunities that evolve me into sharing my truth authentically and live a life from my heart’s true desire inside out. Blessings to you x
I just came from BC from Warrior Camp. It was a profound experience for me. I was into meditation and looking inside myself, but I needed the ACTION to be complete. You teach it in a way that synchronizes the whole self and imprints it in the soul for habit forming. Thank you and from warrior to warrior: Bless You.
I love T. Harv Eker’s definition of the Warrior!
We have been through MMI in Johannesburg, last weekend. It was a powerful trai.ing for, on readi.g the warrior article I realised that I made a right choice. Now I chose to Practise until, my Practice becomes Real Practice. My son (Thaesa) was on team and he got it… Thank you T. Harv Eker, you have touch our live positively. I have interest in Qua.tum Lea
Thank you Harv for this, but I am still fighting the ‘Warrior’ within me! And my concern is that I will win, which is not what I want to happen. I am taking Action!Action!Action! but I still struggle with some of the action points that confront my ‘old’ ingrained beliefs. Hopefully the ‘small steps’ approach will help me overcome my fighting and the Warrior within me will triumph as I believe he will!
Please keep up with what you are doing Harv, it inspires so many of us, and guides us out of those ‘dark places’ we find ourselves in.
All the Best, Lynsey
Nicely put! Thank you Harv.
This really blessed me. Learnt that no one wants to hear about the labor pain, what they want to see is the result. For me to get the desired results, I shouldn’t see mistake as a challenge. Thank you.
That was the most powerful class…it is so much a part of me to this day. Harv you have helped me with the powerful process of conquering myself…and what a challenge that can be. Aho!
Changed me on a celluar level and with me every moment!
Perfect timing! Right now, I am focused, and again it’s time to risk !! Yes I have blown it and lost millions,,, never again for I am equiped, ready and focused for the BIGGEST ONE,, Thank you Lord for ”The Best is yet to come” and it’s NOW, a big thank you for Harv,, Bless him in all that he do for us, his ”students”
A spiritual warrior is purpose driven
Lieber Herr Eker,

Thanks thanks thanks!
“The point isn’t about what the “warrior” is going to do; it’s who the warrior will be that will direct the action.”
I couldn’t have found a better time to read this article. At a time where I am nearing the end of one of my journeys/goals, I look back at how far I’ve come, and am grateful for that “warrior” like power we all have. Being a spiritual warrior to me is not that which is found in some mystical mountain, some pilgrimage, or that which happens to those we would liek to think of as “special”, “lucky”, or “gifted” people. In my experience, the warrior in all of us comes out during turning points in our life. Many, an in my case, come at our lowest points. That point where we look at ourselves in the mirror, shattered, beaten and battered, our body no longer willing to go on, our mind falling apart, and our heart heavy, sinking deep. Yet still, a voice comes from within and says “No. I will get back up. One more time.”
Since childhood and from a place of having a very low self esteem, I have been striving for perfection all my life. I did not even have to completely fail, even if I did not get to perfection (which incidentally happens quite frequently :-), I would beat myself up like you can’t imagine.
Over a period of about ten years I have moved away from dogmatic religion to relational spirituality. It was amazing, but now the real deep issues are coming to the surface – o boy!! My ego was so strongly developed due to the cognitive struggle with low esteem, now it is once again a struggle to get rid of the ego.
Thank you for being one of my mentors on this deep, quite painful journey. I devour every single tool you provide.
Stay BLESSED.
spending a weekend with Harv in South Africa for MMI, that was an enchantment to me. you have been tried and proved. your material have changed my paradigm. being a strong warrior requires faith and trust in God for you to do the impossible
Last year I lost everything, my business, my home, my 12 plex, all my money. Then my adult children treated me like a loser and refused to give me a place to stay and my son got into drugs. I have been feeling so down and such a loser. I really need this. I just have to work out how I am going to be a warrior.
Dear Harv,
Please see if you could visit Dubai,United Arab Emirates in the Middle East;Great article and great book, but we need your camp here, all the best.
Rgds,Shafeeque Shanavas
Thank you so much Harv for the work you do and following your Warrior with in. When I was five years old I decided I would be such a warrior and one of the things I am seeing about my life now at fifty two is that when one follows the path of the warrior then one can be at peace with in while bringing more and more into self to change. Some warriors are very public like yourself then there are the warriors that silently bring about great change. This is to you who do the work in back of the stage thank you for what you do also.
This is how I embraced my true self. Everybody is an artist. Creativity can heal us all, with love. Thank you for helping me in this journey.
Harv Thanks for being an inspiration and help me become better every day.
When everything is possible….a Warrior it is !!!
Absolutely the truth, one of your BEST postings and these qualities are all found in successful people. You have to take action, be willing to take a risk, not define a mishap as a mistake or failure but instead as a stepping stone, trust yourself no matter the outcome, and always be ready to move to the next adventure and into the next dream. Just because you manifested one dream doesn’t mean you can’t let go of the past success and move to the next dream, the next adventure. “What’s next”, with excitement to take action within the new moment, new perception.
Life is about learning lessons
Being a warrior is about getting out of ones way to read the natural rythums and elements presented by life to identify the lessons to be learned.
Embracing the warrior is trusting the mother/father universe to continure to make no mistakes in creation and balance of all that is. Trusting all that occurs is for the best in the universe of which our life experiences and our inner spirit are a selected part. Free will is the warrior’s option to observe now or to act now. Lifes lessons will unfold As You Like It mentioned by Shakespeare, “the whole world is a stage.”
Embracing not grasping life experiences with open eyes of the heart, the warrior lives the journey, learns the lessons, gives humble thanks for courage, patience and lack of need to possess anything but awareness of oneness of self, other beings and the universe. This is what i understand.

Hi
You’r so right.
I am full of fears right now, how do I turn to a warrior?
How do I have to practice in this way?
Thanks
Dear Pinhas,
Just let them be. Live your fears, sit down and accept them, embrace them. Soon you will feel differently. They are telling you something.
Find ways to get in touch with your soul. Walk in nature, exercise, read, write etc. whatever.
Hi Harv,
just a question? Is this also the focus of your famous “Enlightended Warrior” Training?
Hug,
Markus
Yes! Enlightened Warrior Training Camp is about inner strengthening. It is an opportunity for you to see yourself in an entirely new light — to meet the absolute best of yourself. The learning is truly transformational and can be applied to all aspects of your everyday life. If you believe there’s got to be more to life, and are ready to experience an empowered way of living, then commit to being there!

Great! I just got in touch with someone who left a review about the MMI in The Netherlands and.. will meet him soon. Just … do it, take action, there’s no failure. There is LIFE and life is the noun of TO LIVE … 🙂
To be a warrior you must dance with your fears.
This article sings to me Harv. After attending the Warrior course and doing the activities I came away feeling and thinking I can do anything! Several years later after a slightly rocky journey, I still have the same feeling and thinking. The results are now starting to take shape which is an awesome feeling. A warrior has persistence and patience as well!
Yes, taking whatever action is next is the way to go, whether it is to talk, create, build, rest, think, connect, sell, buy, give, receive, move, or consume, when me move on our first thought, our way of living increases and improves. A great question to ask our self in making this happen is either, “What now?” or What’s next?”. Take care, stay well, have fun!
G’day Harv, since posting on the 16th of this month, I made a call to a new friend who I met at MMI this year, to ask her about some difficulties I was having with one of our courses, from another business opp, and we got together because she was having difficulties too. From that relaxed meeting, where we both brought different aspects and knowledge to the table, we have now formed a business together combining our specific skills to create a whole, and we are energized, focused, inspired, and running with this new arrangement. It has given us ‘new life’.
And we firmly believe that this new arrangement will end in multi-million dollar deals, not multi-thousand dollar deals. We have the combined contacts, combined knowledge, combined goals…and all because we met at MMI, and implemented what we were taught. We do have ‘Millionaire Minds’, and THANK YOU most sincerely. We will keep you posted on how our first deal develops over the next few months.
hi,
thanks for the inspiration its really empowering and am sure it’s gonna help me focus on my goals and success.
Sir I have read ” Secrets of the Millionaire” 5 times from age 15 to age 19. It’s not just a book, it’s a Bible of mind stimulation and self- development. I read it almost everyday to get inspired.
Definitely, I would ” embrace the warrior inside me.”
Very well said- ” Power is taking control of yourselves and not instilling power on others.”
I want you to write- ” Secrets of the Billionaire Mind.”
I would love that as a sequel.
This is amazing, 4 days after I made the decision to create my own reality show, I read this lesson, I’m so happy that I chose to live in the moment and do it, any one interested on following my life for one year, go to you tube and search “myoyt” it stands for “my year on you tube” please subscribe and tell your friends , thank you all and thank you harv.
Rico
Yes. I am willing to take chance and do what I love, which is singing.
Thank you,
😉
Being (Real) Free is the hardest thing to accomplish. But I have no other choose than to turn 180 degrees, no longer excusses than Being the Divine ¨Meg that I Am¨. On all levels! There is no other Medicine. Profound gratitude, Mr. Harv Eker, for being my mirror!
Hi, thank you very much for the thought provoking article. Embracing the warrior is most critical. How does one deal with a situation where in being loyal to friends and partners in business, one is betrayed and one’s nature is more in keeping with faith and loyalty.
Many thanks, Harv! This message has come to me just at the right time. I love when you raised about being a warrior is being free from any kind of conditions or limitations.
I have many excuses and none of them are supportive to my success. Again, thank for the message as it helps break through the thousand excuses…
Phany
thank you so much for this article , you have given a different n better way of handling my self
I agree on becoming the warrior within! Many times our battles are within our own mind. To believe when we constantly face defeat – and to understand the process that we endure is usually of more value than the goal we were trying to achieve!
One Life / One Legacy
Thomas Joe
Thank you Thomas Joe for the encouragement.
I believe that the real battle is going on inside of us. Everyday. Every step of the way. And once we conquer our self, we become true warriors!! Thank you so much Mr. Eker.. I’ve been greatly influenced by your book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.” It literally change my life. Again, thank you so much. 😀
Hi Harv – thanks for making me feel like a warrior again. This has been inspiring – to conquer oneself as the first step to conquer the world. To me the people who have conquered themselves are the true heroes in today’s world – and boy do we need them.
I had to overcome and conquer myself many times – 20 + years ago when quitting my bad smoking habit – then food became an addiction and with it 50-60 extra pounds, both gone now. Every time, I speak in public or sit with a client and help them make the decision to work with us, I have to overcome a bit of that fear and re-conquer myself. Now it is my passion in life to help others as well. Thanks again.
Thanks Harv… you gave me hope that there is still chance to awake the warrior within me
I’m backtracking over the Lessons. Today this one has great significance for me. I have been living far too much in the past. Life became very challenging, and I foolishly went to happier memories of the past, to keep me going, rather than taking those feelings and projecting them into the future with a new dream. My sense of loss has been so big, for so long, and reading this now has been just the lesson I need to remind me that the future is mine to create – according to my own dreams and desires which I know have been God-given. So its seems only reasonable that i show Gratitude for those dreams, and honour their meaning by taking action to create them.
Many of us are prisoners in our minds and we should awake our inner spiritual warrior
I want to be a diplomatic minister, attending international conference and involve in policy making.
Thank you !
for me embracing my inner warrior is a challenge everyday and on the days that I do win my heart is filled with joy and I get to celebrate another victory.
Thank you so much Harv. I follow you now for one week and I’m on fire. I understand and feel what you say and see my missing links, what brings me right in contact with my inner warrior.
Three years ago I get bankrobed. I had to close the doors from my practice as complementairy therapist and the house I had where children with downsyndrome had their vacations.
Now I’m at the end of the ride and soon I’m starting again with my own busines. Now as a lifecoach. Your lessons are so valuable.
To my own life and finacial health and to others.
Blessings
