Turning Points

Think back to those times in your life that proved to be pivotal moments in your growth as a person. Maybe it had to do with your finances, or your spirituality, or something you were trying to accomplish or overcome.
How did you learn how to get to where you wanted to be? Where did you learn what you needed to know? Who did you learn from, or was it all trial and error?
Lots of people start down their path toward whatever success means to them, not having any clue as to how tough that road can be. If they did have a clue in the beginning, a good number would say, “No thanks, I’ll stay ‘comfortable’ over here.” It’s almost like telling the universe you don’t want any good luck—those unexpected things that you hear about happening to other people that changes their lives in ways they couldn’t have imagined. Chance favors the prepared and courageous mind—those who are unafraid to take risks.
The outcomes of those risks partly reflect the knowledge that went into those decisions and actions, and that too reflects where that knowledge came from. When it comes down to it, few who have reached extraordinary levels of success in a given area did so because they learned everything they needed to learn on their own. Even the Buddha followed several mentors before moving beyond them to reach Nirvana.
I believe that life is always giving us turning points big and small—opportunities to change how we see things, change how we go about reaching our goals—especially when the way we’ve been going about it isn’t getting us any closer to the objective. It can be something as simple as the friend who casually mentions the name of an author who they think would be of value to you at that time in your life—or it could be the direct advice of a trusted someone when you have an important decision to make.
So take note when a good friend drops an observation about a question or issue you’re considering. There’s that little voice sometimes in the back of our head that might discredit what others see about ourselves or our situations that we’re not seeing.
You might think you don’t need to hear it, but we all know about our own thoughts sometimes, yes? They’re not always supportive. Just because you think, “I have this under control—I don’t need to hear anybody else’s perspective” does not make it true. It’s quite often the opposite.
So it’s up to you to choose a perspective of where you are today, not where you were yesterday. You don’t know where you are today until you show up. Come from the present moment, be in the present moment, and then choose to see how you can utilize the guidance that I believe life is giving us all the time. Ask the universe for guidance, and you will receive it. You never know which “today” could provide your life’s next turning point.
What do you think? How have seemingly inconsequential encounters changed your life, or your perspective? For better or worse? Was the presence of a mentor involved? What did you learn from this? Share your thoughts and opinions with our community, you never know whose life you may be changing!
For Your Freedom,

This is so true, you never know how a reflexion or advice can influence someone. I`ve personaly received 5 memorable turning point sentences from different people at a different time in my life. I`ve also received feedback from people telling me that the advice, reflexion or book to read has change their life. So, don`t be shy, give your sincere opinion to friends who might need it not on a critisizing mode but with the honest interest for help in mind and in heart. You might save them a lot of trouble and that`s what friends are for…
Thanks to you Harv for sharing your wisdom! JCK
thanks
One of the turning point for me was when a friend gave me a book to read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” By Robert Kyosaki. I read it in one evening and learned about Passive Income, which I never knew about before, so 3 months later I created a stream of Passive Income that has given me peace of mind and freedom around my finances.
Thank you for your share and commitment in transformation!
Chantal
what kind of stream of passive income you create?
I also read that book
There are many ways to passive income, you’ve to ask urself which one are u going to opt for?
Rental from the real estate (residential/commercial), Income from mutual funds or stock hldings, royalty from intellectual property like writting book or selling a good idea, creating a good financial system, and whatever u can work out.
The Idea of passive income is that penny working to make more pennies. Its upto every individual how he perceives it and where he converts an opportunity.
It depends on at least two factors: the country which you are living in and (2) whether you are a businessman or a salaried person. If your income is by way of salary, consider saving a part of your salary EVERY MONTH in a Bank. After a year, convert this savings into a term deposit.
Putting a small amount of money every paycheque is a great idea, but the concept of putting it into the bank to save for a rainy day is NOT a good idea. You must learn to invest that money, and not into a savings account. Invest that money into yourself (personal development, learning a skill) or invest into a passive income opportunity. Savings in a bank pay VERY poor interest, and the cost of living each year is higher than the savings money a bank will give you. Read “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” and “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and take ideas from their to grow your wealth.
Dear Har,
Thank you for the lesson, it was one I arrived at in the spring of 2010, 6 months into my recovery from alcoholism. I lived 18 years in the Corporate World in Billboard Advertising, my last duty as Divisional President over 5 states. I had to lose my job, my long term relationship, go bankrupt…financially, spiritually and emotionally before I found the willingness to accept that I am my problem, not just alcohol was my problem, I was my problem. 6 months into my recovery, I was traveling to visit a friend with my three dogs in the car and a heavy heart regretting my past and worrying about the future, I suddenly heard the universe tell me to Let Go.Be and I knew at the moment that my own thinking was holding me captive from living in the moment, being present and understanding that today is all I have, this moment and to live in this moment and no where else. I started Let Go.Be over 2 years ago and continue to spread the message to empower others to let go.be. Thank you and I always look forward to your words of wisdom. Have a Let Go.Be day. Jodi
I just finished writing on my blog and wanted to share with you that I shared your link on my blog. Hope many of my readers reach out to your link and read it. Thank you. Jodi
Dear Mr Ecker,
Thank you for the lessons and inspiration. Attitude adjustment is continually required in my life and the overcoming of fear. To visualize the abundance life offers is not easy, but there is abundance all around us. I give thanks for all the gifts received and the blessings of people like you.
Harv,
Very early in my career as an architect my boss casually said to me “never settle for anything less than ownership”. That simple advice has for me informed so much of my career – not looking for a J O B but instead seeking out opportunities where I can shine AND capitalize on my own talents, To anyone who might read this and get a similar reaction as I did, let me assure you that you can walk that path and thrive. He said that to me in 1986 and my last W-2 was for the month of January, 1989. Thank you Harv for all you do in this world.
Great wisdom T. Harv Eker
Every day is an opportunity to change the course of your life if you are listening, speaking, and reading. Writing is a bonus !
For me, a big part of moving forward has been to drop the ego. In the past, I would become “fixed” on an idea/method/principle (whatever) and once I assumed it to be “true”, it would take a lot for me to drop it if another approach was suggested. Now, changing my attitude has itself been a big factor in my progress but being able to accept where the new information came “from” has been a bigger factor. For example, we say that we should be open to mentors giving us advice (and we should), but what about if the little gem of wisdom has come from someone we don’t like or don’t actually respect. When I dropped the ego and opened my ears to the possibility that “anyone” may have the “golden nugget” of information (even if it’s given to you in a negative way), that’s when I really started to progress. In short, the people who you don’t like or who don’t like you are probably going to be the one’s to tell it like it is. You should listen to them as well as your mentors.
Aaron, I totally get where you’re coming from. We get it into our head that we know best, we know what we know, yet we really only know what we’ve been taught or what we have had modelled to us and believe it to be the truth. I love the quote ‘don’t believe a thing you think’!
Great lesson Harv.
Far too often we close our minds to opportunities because “we have it all under control thank you”.
Let’s open up and be aware of those “chance” meetings and comments from friends/mentors!
Thank you for the reminder, Harv.
God uses everyone and everything to show me the next steps: a mentor like you, a thought in those few minutes between sleeping and waking, comments overheard from passersby, an innocent question from a child, words from a t-shirt or a bumper sticker, posts and comments from strangers in a blog, joke from a taxi driver, a text message from a long lost friend ….
This week, the message for me came from all directions: move on.
Another interesting topic! A few years ago my mentor taught me about the 6 Jars that you teach in your book and seminars. I thought it was a good concept but it was yet to be the turning point of my life.
A good friend of mine lend to me your book in June 2012. I specifically remember my mentor taught the very same things as I finish reading it. That was the turning point where I actually believe that it’s not the amount that’s important, it’s the habit.
I still am following your 6 jars system and I am now involved in my own business and investments.
Thanks Harv!
Dear Harv Eker!
The turning point in my life? It is still so vivid in my memory. I was talking about the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell ( a friend gave the book to me) about the people who live in Roseto, Pennsylvania who die of old age even when they have the same eating/diet habits with everybody else in the US. A colleague (who was new) joined the conversation and she said she already saw the place and the research was true. I have asked her why she went to the US and she said she was given a FORD scholarship. I was then so interested to study abroad but I did not have the confidence to apply. This colleague who eventually became my friend and sister, scouted for scholarship for me and she became my coach/mentor in the screening process. I still get goosebumps whenever I think about this because I did not graduate with honors and I thought I wouldn’t qualify. However, with constant prayer and advice from my coach, I was accepted to the scholarship and went to take my Masters in one of the finest Universities in the world. On my graduation, I couldn’t believe it when a friend of mine gave as a gift Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell (Goosebumps overwhelmed me in that instant because i remembered the seemingly inconsequential encounter changed my life forever!
P.S. I actually saw you already in person during your Intensive Millionaire Mind Seminar in Melbourne! Thanks for the free books, manuals, DVD’s and CD’s. My friend even won an IPAD3 during the seminar. Thanks for that seminar, I consider it to be one of my turning point when it comes to my finances.
More blessings will come to you!
Joy
This happened to me when my husband suggested I read The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind! We had been successful in business for 16 years just winging it! We were kind of in a flat phase and things were not going in the greatest direction. I read the book, and then before I was finished found a Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar, and I have been gaining momentum ever since! Thank You Harv! I Love My Life!
Some of the best (and biggest) changes in my life came from me listening to friends suggesting something that seemed random, or buying the book that jumped out and caught my eye.
I also agree with Aaron that dropping ego is huge when it comes to growing.
Thank you Harv!
Hi Everybody
my turning point is when I got a big sum of my money stuck in a gold investment scam a year ago. It is still under police investigation a year later. the turning point is that I feel that my level of consciousness expands because of this incident. I learn to listen more to my intuition, and act on it. If something does not seem right to me, instead of brushing it aside, i pay more attention to it.
Really love reading this stuff. I find you most inspirational, guiding me through recent bumps in the road when i get discouraged and off course. But that bumpy path of late Has me redirecting myself to be back on track of late thanks to people like you. Thank you.
Great job as usual Harv! Thanks for all of those “turning points” you regularly give us.
Harv Eker lessons have taught me to enjoy my life to the fullest. To create extra income streams through my passive business income, as a result I believe I’m going to be able to attend train the trainer workshop. You guys rock. Billy Radebe (SA)
I’m still looking for that clue.
As a kid I was in the farm. I found a job in the city and worked hard until I get retired. Now I’m going back to the farm to end up my days. As I like to say: “back to the roots”.
My two big changes in life was when I got married and then when I got widower.
It took a long time for me to resign from a job in public office, for reasons involving fear. Several times I was asked to work in other companies and also received advice from friends, who told me to trust my work and change my life for the better.
I never liked working in this government job, and ended up staying six years employed!!!
But there was a time when I took the courage to resign. It was the best thing I’ve done in recent times, and maybe I could reap the rewards of this decision much earlier, if I had heard the voice of my heart, of my friends and the Universe.
Thanks, Harv.
YEEEEESSSS!!
Harv,
Thanks for sharing this timely missive! I have shared it with Facebook friends and continue to follow your teachings, wisdom and knowledge. Be Well!

Hi Harv
This lesson couldn’t come at a better time for me. This lesson was one of those moments you refer to. The moment when after several tension filled days with financial institutions and mistakably still sitting in the stress from it. So thank you for the reminder of living in the present.
Cheers
Amanda
I am at a turning point, and really enjoying the knowledge that I am creating my world and the reality I am living. Having the self confidence to ask the universe to help me really get it right for me and all those I love, so I can have the best of all worlds. My moment came when I realized I can have it all it doesn’t have to be either or
Harv, I resign from company I was working with
In a few months back to start something small on my own but Harv it did not work out I am now at home doing nothing and virtually broke so pls I need help thank you.
A friend gave me a Christmas gift: a book titled The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield. That’s exactly what I needed at the time. I went on to build a reading culture and I have never looked back. I have since achieved tremendous progress in my life, including building a business and acquiring several real estate investments.
Thank you Christine!
Hi Harv,
Do you agree that life is sequence of accidents? Really we dont know, what is going to happen in our life.Turning points come in life as accidents. We are very uncertain, while accepting or rejecting them. We are ignorant about facing the consequences. But we get guidance from the universe. I dont believe in god, but i do believe in the power of nature, the universe.
But it is v true that, if you want to succeed, you have to leave the CZ and enter into NCZ, unknown area. Universe will give the directions. We have to believe in power of our subconscious mind.
Hikmat Udhan.
The energy in every atom of the universe which keeps everything evolve at every moment, I think that is what we call God.
In my childhood, I was under the impression that as this happens to everybody, suggestions and advice are handed down from one generation to the next. But during the 1960’s, technology changed and there was a paradigm shift and I could not relate to what my parents ‘advised’ me to do. Slowly, I turned to books with new ideas. I started with Norman Vincent Peale, then came across THINK AND GROW RICH during 1979. It changed the course of my life. I decided to quit my job and live on passive income. I succeeded in 2001. There were not many new books on self development until late 1980’s. Then, suddenly, there were hundreds of books by different authors ( I am referring to the availability here, in India). I read most of them and was benefited by every one of them. Wherever possible, in my own little way, I helped my colleagues with these new ideas.
During 2007, I came across SECRETS OF THE MILLIONAIRE MIND. I re-read it randomly and get a new perspective every time!
However, I believe that what we call ‘ a chance remark’ is not a coincidence. Nature or the Universal Mind sends it to us through some medium.
A major turning point for me was when I discovered a couple of years ago that the reason why my birthdays are so special is because I make them special. That very thought made me realise that I am in control of how special I make each and every single day.
A friend of me once said: “the things you learn from someone else are borrowed, the things you learn by yourself are yours.”
When I was in big debts, hungry and unhappy: my brain was still sending SOS message to the Universe. And I got the answer in the most unexpected way. 🙂 I talk about it here: https://howtoberich.info/about-me-how-be-rich
Now I help others who also need to wake up and start pursuing their dreams. Ela 🙂
Thank you for this article. I am going through a period of life where I need to make a decision that will change my life forever and I lost my best two friends many years ago. The two most important people in my life where my God mother and biological mother. I miss them so much because they are not here to help me with my decision that I must make soon. I keep getting or hearing my moms voices telling me to just ‘DO IT”. This is helping me a lot. My mother who was not quick to give advice would always tell me that she wasn’t sure what area of life I would be very successful but she knew I that I would be great in whatever I decided to do. Thanks Mommies.
Thanks for this lesson. For me the message is that as we reach out to the Universe the Universe reaches back to help us realize our dreams. It therefore becomes important to always be on the look out for the turning points that the Universe brings in our direction and take fullest advantage of those moments.
This is soo true T. Harv, you only realise how you live your life by the comments that you get from people. So don’t turn a blind eye and help where you can…..it jst might be the turning point of that person.
Thank you for the lesson.
It was the point that I had reached in my spiritual development that I hit several blocks that I couldnt figure out where they came from. Then I took an NLP course from the Tad James Company and ever since then it had helped me to see where the root problems I have had for the past 30 something years that I have been alive and the other 7 have been part of the molding process from the time I was born.
I have come to a great place and will be attending the MMI in Nov and am excited to say that for one of the first times in my life will I truly become financially free cause that has been my goal for the past 2 years and I believe all of the training and all of the life lessons prepare us for our greatest hour in which we will rise and become our greatest potential.
Thanks Harv
Dear Harv,
If you could ask Christopher Langan one question, what would it be? Perhaps the Einstein of our day.
Sincerely,
RJ
One of the greatest turning point in both mine and my husband’s life is with MMI! Our lives has turned around completely. Our world suddenly seemed so different from the one’s we’ve lived in all our lives. Its been a year since my first MMI, we are not only much happier but much purposeful as well.
I had a turning point in my health a week and a half ago. I was pretty weak and sick and I have been getting much better since the turning point. What I thought was healthy was actually making me weak. I’m stronger with more energy already. I had already been trying to get well, but the wrong way. I think the cause of a Turning Point is humility or open mindedness. What caused mind was a question from a promo for The Release Technique. The question is: can I let go of being so smart and allow it to be other than what I think it is? That is a mind-opener. I tried something completely different, let go of my old ideas that I was sure were right, and it worked. I think taking responsibility and an open mind cause the Turning Point to arise. That question is excellent for opening your mind.
My turning point took place in 2002 when I read Rich dad Poor dad. Then I read a lot of RK books. I followed him with Conspiration of the Riches in the internet. When I read The secret of the millionaire mind, I could see what was holding me back. I was born in poverty and it was my confort zone.
I have earned income only and I spent it before receiving. I used credit card to the limit and check book without control.
To say a long story short, I lived on debt. RK and THEker has changed my inner game of money. Now I am retired and I live on cash by my social security income and my passive income from rental flats.
remembering the pivotal turns makes us see where we are right now and where we are heading. Poor people dunno where theyre heading. we dun want to be one of them.
Thanks for all of your sharing harveker. you are messenger of god for me.
Thanks again
This blog post could not have come at a better time. After recently completing your course Enlightened Warrior Camp, I decided to alter my course journey in life as I want to work as an assistant trainer for your company. Question was do I wait until i finish my whole quantum program ( have not done train the trainer yet) and do making the stage this year or next. This week i have had so many signs from every area in life that tells me to close my business, quit my part time job and just enrol and do your course. That training is my gift in life. AHO AHO AHO. This blog post made me realise i was misreading the turning points getting sent to me as i was too emotionally attached to my current life. Thank you for the wake up. Such a blessing i am grateful to be in the right place at the right time to hear the right message.
Interesting article, but unfortunately the text on the right hand side disappears under the next column. As my English is not 100% I become a bit uncertain…
I guess there have been several turning points in my life. the newest is NOW. Realizing that being grateful is the way to start your day. Focussing on here and now feeling good as feeling good and being in alighment with that feeling and that positive thought is ALL what human has tostart from and realize. When this happens and you are doing this every day i started to realize that there were some negative patrons and thought under the belt ( in the sub consiouse) that was dominating my behaviour. It still does but NOW it FACE it. No more excusse! FACE it. See yourself in the mirror and forgive and start the day like describt. What I sense here that there is a way to heal the holistic SELF and take that responsability to TURN those bad copied behaviour into SUCCESS. Whatever field that is!. For me it is building houses, I am learning to really build step for step a solid thinking, a balanced mind. What a residence I am creating. what a happy healtly wealty life I am manifestating. There is no other option and moving forwards and upwards. Being a live. That is my turning point for NOW! Thank you Harve for guiding!
I would highlight this: I have always tried to work with the best mentors I could have had access. All the sudden I realized I have always had them and it helped me tremendously to get to the level of success I have never dreamed before.
Now one of my personal mentors is Jay Abraham, and I believe this is my next turning point to the next level ))).
Thank you a lot, Harv, you are such an inspiration not just for me, but for many my clients!
Turning point in my life was attending 2010 Olympics ( first one in my life ) after reading millionaire mind and realizing all change is not growth, as all movement is not forward. Now realizing I’ve had mentors all my life only some of them knew how to reach or me understanding them and there teachings do I know which ways to see or understand the ways the universe is directing me as I discover what I have been doing are categorizing as passions. I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, lots of love! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Harv, what an inspirational advice! My turning point was in January this year when I woke up one morning and decided to resign from the Law firm I worked for 4 years because it wasn’t worthy it. Good enough, I had started saving and investing into mining concessions a year before I resigned. So far I am working towards opening up my own law firm in Tanzania. The road is not easy at the moment but it is worth enduring. I have really got out of my comfort zone and blocked all the so called “useless friends” and have concentrated on the useful one.
Another turning point is when I attended the National Congress Seminar in South Africa in July this year when I got an opportunity to be mentored for the weekend by you, Les Brown, Robert and Kim Kiyosaki and the 10 others speakers, It really changed my perspective, the rest is a history. I now spot the business opportunities very easily and utilize the chances.
Thanks a million times T Harv. May God keep on blessing you exceedingly.

Hi Harv, and others commenting,
I have experienced many such turning points, and believe that these “bumps” or phases in our lives are all the universe’s way of shaking us up to realise a truth within ourselves.
I believe my first turning point was at the age of 16. My dad handed me a copy of Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Robert made me believe that working all your life just for a paycheck was not worth it. This was my first awareness. I continued my life along an ordinary path of getting married and working the job. I didnt realise that that life was killing me inside. Also, having known that there was a greater life and purpose got me curious and anxious for change.
I got divorced, and began rediscovering myself. Louise Hay has helped me with overcoming fear, and healing myself. She wrote a book called “You can heal your life”. Again my perspective changed.
I remarried, and then began feeling stuck and in a financial mess. Then i got tickets for the National Achievers Confrenceqnd heard all the speakers share their lives and their successes. I attended Millionare Mind Intensive 3 weeks ago, and attended Courtney Smith’s How to earn a living trading.
My life is not yet where I would like it, but I now have tools, techniques and the confidence to build my life and become financially free.
As Harv says, you have to have a big enough WHY to wanna make a change. Your reason for success needs to be bigger than you.
Thank you Harv. You and the other NAC members are making an impact and changing peoples lives. I am eternally greatful.
Ohhh! How many comments! It’s inspiring to know that such a lot of people are looking for sth better in their lifes. A couple of years ago I also started looking for a way of better life. It started during removing to another flat after my parents divorced. Then, when I was unpacking boxes with books, I’ve found a book “Practical methods of achieving successes” R.M. Kompeyer. It was the begining. I was reading that book all the time, and then decided to change my life and look for more knowledge and more opportunities. After some time I’ve found yours book “The secrets of millionaire mind”. And reading this book I started to practise excercises given there. That was the reason why I went to another city to seminar about enterpreneurship. At this meeting I’ve met a man, who became my mentor, and who gives me business opportunity. Now I’m still learning and making progresses in achieving financial independence. But I know that I’m on the right way 🙂
Love hearing about turning points – from you Harv and from the comment. It is interesting that one see the exact same event two total different way and then follow them. My mother was (and still is) an alcoholic all my life which was especially hard as a young boy. I almost fell into it too, when I decided that I don’t want to have that kind of life and went a different direction. My sister had the same challenges yet she decided to be like mom. That decision was one of the most important turning points in my life – I have a super wife, been blessed with 9 kids, a great and blessed life. My poor sister unfortunately does not – though we are not giving up. Yes turning points are the great opportunities and the choice is ours!
Everyday is a turning point in life. New experiences, new lessons that can be learn’t, as long as we have our eyes and minds open to all situations that occur daily in our lives.
Everything happens for a reason and people come into our lives for a reason, season or lifetime
Thank You T Harv ! !
I am happy to express my Big Thank you to Harv and all those kind people who share their knowledge with us!!!
I know for sure whenever you look for something and you do it sincerely, the person is doomed to be answered. The turning point in my life was to watch the Millionaire Mind video. The strongest point for me was to listen and understand the meaning of the responsibility in our lives. Everything, whatever happens in our life, the one who is responsible for everything is US and only! This gave me such a big power and control under my emotions, deeds, thoughts. I do not feel myself as a blind kitten that goes to do not know where and why. Have a dream, have a vision, have faith, belief, know that it is coming, be open, patient and accept it. Even if I do not have a strategy, if you have a right and clear question the answer will always show up. I know how it works, just need to put it on a mode and feel tuned and control it!
Thank you again!!!
Awesome Harv,,It’s now or never, as it was a long, very long struggle, at times I did not understand Why? Stress, was eating me allive, and I reach breaking point,(now). As I read thru your advice script, filled with wisdom, it inspire me to the core. I am right now on the very brink, to seal” a deal of a Life time. The biggets ever. Took me more than five years. ( I still don’t understand why it took so long, as we only have ONE life, and limited time here on this Planet) After all these trails & tribulations,, the healing process will start, and I can start to live !!! Filled with energy, see the beauty around me, be GREATFUL for every minute that we are alive.! Never quit Guys & Girls,, never !! God Bless you.
Herman du Plessis RSA
Many give advice on life and wealth, however every time I read or listen to anything you say or write I get a feeling of authenticity and I feel as though you actually talking from experience rather regurgitating some else stuff.
this time is my turning point.. reading your articles makes me ready for my success. thank you.
Ok, since this showed up 3 times in my box, I’ll contribute. What comes to mind for me is the Way of the Wizard. Sometimes changing points are something we have to wait upon. We may want something immediately but the time and energies for that manifestation is not at the right turning point. You have to put out the request but then you may have to wait for the time to appear. This requires the wisdom of patience and perseverance. These are ancient virtues. Then you have to recognize when opportunity or the necessary Change arrives so you can take action. Prepare for turning points and be fearless when choices are provided. Be willing to free fall through the new time passage opening for you, as they close quickly also. I would like to sell a house right now for the price I want but instead of instant gratification by lowering the price, I will wait for the turning point in real estate sales, it will come. I took the opportunity when it surprisingly arrived in an unexpected Sat. phone call to move to Prescott, AZ. I fearlessly let go of all that I thought was solid, moved, as I was prepared for future change, even though I was not clear on what the change would be and it was the best new change I could have ever hoped for.
Thank u Harv.
Totally agree & echo this teaching & sharing on “turning point”. Has a personal experience to share.
8 yrs ago, I was servicing my nation in the army as an full time infantry specialist, section leader.
I had been volunteered by my company commander to join the Ranger class. I started my preparation 6 mths ahead, unsure and very much unconvinced about whether I had what it takes. And since I was volunteered, it’s not my fault if I fails.
My Battalion commander walks up to me during one of my personal training, and ask me.
BC : “solider what are u doing training alone under the hot sun.”
Me: “I was volunteered for Ranger class this yr.”
BC : “you will defintely fail, if u don’t want this yourself!”
I was seat there thinking about what he had just said after he had left.
This is my personal “turning point” when a mentor walks up to me when I needed help and guidance. Universal is always reaching out to us when we needed help. I choose to accept his teaching and not get discourage when at times the teaching is tough and not what u like to hear.
I have since made up my mind 🙂
hi harv,
turning points. many are for good and many are for bad. a turning point may take you to heaven or a turning point can take you to hell. question is, how to follow a turning point? which turning point to choose and which to neglect? can we be dependent on universe for guidance everytime? does really universe guides us properly every time? if it turns to be a good, we give credit to universe and if it turns to be bad, we curse self. so are we not creators of our own life?

So it’s up to you to choose a perspective of where you are today, not where you were yesterday. Change does not always lead to improvement but improvement is the result of change.
Turning points are happen, when you are not aware of them. This is crucial. When you think that you have changed, then this is wrong. The changes happen only then, if we cannot recognize them, because the real changes happen deep in our subconscious and not in our conscious mind. And our ego is saying, we are great because we have changed. This is again how our ego is cheating us. This was saying Bhagwan or Osho.
i love you
Remember your current thinking has taken you thus far. Your current thinking won’t get you to the next level. Sometimes you have to change your thoughts and belief system to push through the barrier and make significant changes. What are you going to choose?
My Turned point was when i was concoussness abou the balance in betwen Fisical. Emotional. Rational and spiritual world.
Thank you Harv for the words of wisdom. I am aware that I am at a turning point of my life, I feel that there will be important changes but I just don’t know how. I know I have unused potential and I am learning to let go and live prensent time positively. My intense fear is nearly gone and I am feeling better, much stronger emotionally with sharper focus, thanks to God and the support received from friends and mentors. I find it great that you have reflected over life’s experiences and thank you to share your knowledge with others. May God bless you.
Great Harv,
When man sees himself pitted against the universe he will understand that he is too small to even be considered. But when he in his full belief, holds view that the universe is the mother of all creations and filled with abundance and has time and again given the materialistic importance of even a single atom, attached to all the wealth created, why not we look up to the universe and say “ma just give me abundance”.
Chances are you will get abundance! Nothing less!
