The Most Simple Statement That Will Transform Your Life

group of people in water during sunset

Whether it’s in business, during a meeting, in your personal life, or even a passing comment from an acquaintance –have you ever had someone say something that you took really personally?

Of course you have…

It’s part of the human condition to perceive the world through our own lens, but unfortunately it’s not always helpful – or accurate.

You see everyone is operating in their own world. My lens is different from your lens. Your perspective is different from my perspective. (More about this below but we think very differently).

So what do you do when someone freaks out on you?

How can you go along in your day with grace, joy and happiness instead of having this incident completely ruin it?

Well, today I’m going to tell you one of the simplest, most powerful statements I use in my own life to help me stay calm and collected when big or small incidents happen in my life.

I’m human too, remember. I’m no superman. I have lots of things that bug me. Sh*t happens but here’s how I deal with it. If it helps you, then AMAZING. If not, that’s okay too, but it sure as heck helps me.

The statement is “Everything is neutral.”

Simple, right? Everything is neutral – until we assign meaning to it.

Here’s how the process works:

When an incident occurs, we look at it with our filters, our conditioning, our views, and we turn it from neutral into whatever we think it is.

So we turn a neutral situation into something completely new and different. We make an assessment, adjustment, or give it meaning, and so on. And it becomes either a good thing or a bad thing. A positive thing, or a problem.

The fact is, there is no problem until you interpret it, give it meaning and judge it.

Only then does it become a problem – for some of us.

How do you know this is true? Because what is a problem for one person is not a problem for another person.

True or true?

What is good for one person is not necessarily good for another person.

Instead, we are the ones who give it meaning.

Is it good or bad? Well, it depends on who you ask. Is it right or wrong? Again, it depends on who you ask.

All of these things are not outside of us, they’re all inside of us. This is one of the hardest things to grasp; this is enlightenment.

When you can understand that there’s actually nothing going on outside of you except for you putting your filters and your views out there, and that then they become you…then you realize that nothing is simply the way it is until you give meaning to it.

Instead, everything is only how you look at it.

So someone says, “Look how pretty that outfit is,” and the other person says, “What? I think it’s kind of ugly.”

Who’s right?

One person says “The team played great tonight, didn’t they? They just came up a little short.” The other person says, “What? The team played terrible, they lost.”

Who’s right?

Someone says, “That is such an awesome song.” The other person says, “What? It’s too slow, it’s boring.”

Who’s right?

Is it the song that’s the problem? No, there’s no problem in a song. The only one that’s a problem is the person who says it’s a problem.

Again, I am talking about problems beyond survival. I’m not going to get into the semantics of someone who has no food to eat and they’re starving or if someone is sick. I’m not going there.

I’m just going to say, everything beyond survival is not a problem until you get there.

So remember, everything is neutral—and only we can decide how we define the events and experiences that happen in our lives.

Once you realize this, nothing will be able to hurt or hinder you—because you get to decide how it affects your life.

Good or good?

Have you ever found yourself assigning meaning to an event? How do you stay neutral when this happens? We want to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Why The Old Methods To Get New, Consistent Leads And Customers Don’t Work Anymore And The Proven 5 Step Process That Does

People buy from people they trust sign

We’re seeing a lot of our students struggle – unnecessarily. There are many common mistakes that people make when it comes to starting, growing and selling a business. We talk about a lot of them in our Million Dollar Business Secrets program but we came across someone who is teaching how to succeed in business in a entirely new way. I thought it would be very valuable and beneficial to get his insights for you.

The author is Josh Turner, and he’s a Wall Street Journal bestselling author and the Founder of LinkedSelling, one of the fastest growing coaching and consulting businesses in the US (according to the Inc. 500).

At Harv Eker International we often use the term ‘different strokes for different folks’. The reason we use that is because everyone is different and what might work for you might not work for me and vice versa. You never know when one new lesson, strategy, or principle can completely change your life, so keep reading on and enjoy some new learnings from Mr. Josh Turner himself.

Enjoy!

Josh TurnerHere’s Why The Old Methods To Get New, Consistent Leads And Customers Don’t Work Anymore And The Proven 5 Step Process That Does
By Josh Turner

We start our businesses because we want to achieve great things. To make a big impact. To make a real mark.

And if you’ve been in business for any amount of time, then you know that if you’re just another rat in the race, your chances of achieving your vision are pretty slim.

Especially in 2017. Business is changing. Everything moves faster, there’s more competition, and everyone’s making as much noise as possible to stand out.

What most people do and why they struggle is because they do the same thing as everyone else. All that does is just add to the noise. They try and use the same tired and old tactics to get new clients and customers and they wonder why their business isn’t going the way they want it to.

The difference between those who thrive and those who don’t are those who don’t join the noise but do something TRULY unique to stand out.

But Josh, “Hasn’t it all been done before?”

Good question! 🙂

Fortunately, there are new and improved ways to do business and get consistent leads and customers and it’s not something that you have to spend a lot (or any) money on.

There’s one way I’ll be talking about in a second that my company has been perfecting for the last couple years. And now after seeing firsthand how it’s helped hundreds of entrepreneurs thrive, I realized that this is not just a business system that works.

It’s a real movement. And it’s happening right now as you read this.

Smart business owners all realize the same thing that you already know…

You need to be the leader in your market.

You need to be the authority in your field.

You need to be different and not like everyone else.

And you must stand out!

You must be what I call an AUTHORITY LEADER.

When you’re an Authority Leader, you are the expert in your field – and a leader in your market. Your prospects KNOW it. Your competition knows it, and there’s NOTHING they can do about it.

So here comes the million dollar question…

How do you go about positioning yourself so powerfully?

There are actually two ways.

One is very expensive and takes a long time to see through…

But the other can be done quickly and with very little cost.

The old school way of becoming an Authority Leader was tedious. It was difficult to pull off, and it would cost you a ton of time and money in the process.

You might be familiar with this old school approach: You fork over your hard-earned cash to buy TV ads, hire a PR company, buy yellow page ads – the whole nine yards. And even after all that, it could still take years (if ever) to develop Authority Leader status. For most of us, that’s not even an option.

The internet has broken down many of those barriers. But even the internet has been a bust for a lot of people.

It just hasn’t worked out for a lot of people. I know, because every single day my team and I work with business owners who are skeptical that you can grow your business online… especially with social media.

I get the skepticism. I really do.

But here’s the thing…

It hasn’t been until recently that these social media platforms have matured to the point where your prospects are paying attention to them.

And the 5 step system that I lay out for you in my revised and expanded 2nd edition book “Booked”, is THE best way I know to build your Authority Leader status fast.

It’s the complete opposite of the old school way. In fact, it doesn’t require you to spend ANY money. And it doesn’t take years to develop.

You can literally implement the Booked system in a matter of WEEKS (or days if you really get after it), and you’ll be generating consistent appointments and clients soon thereafter.

The system I teach in my new edition, “Booked” is a proven, time-tested process you can apply on any platform, regardless of where your prospects hang out. I’ll show you how you can make it happen with Facebook and LinkedIn – combined with a powerful email strategy.

Now to get all the details on this 5 step process you can get my free book below, but T. Harv Eker told me to make sure that I made this lesson as valuable as possible for you. So here’s a little sneak peak into what my book entails.

The 5 step process includes…

1. Laying the Foundation

You must build the correct foundation to assure you’re ready to launch and put your best foot forward from day one.

Just like any built structure the foundation is a key element to the sturdiness of the building. The structure is the determining factor of whether it withstands any turbulent times or not.

Once the foundation is built then you will be positioned like a rock star. First impressions are VITAL to your success. You must be sure that your foundation is laid first.

2. Building Your Authority Leadership Platform

The social media platform that you pick is next. How do you pick it? Well think about where your target customer is hanging out.

Is it Facebook or LinkedIn? It takes a bit of time to set up, but once it’s up and running, you won’t need to spend much time on it. The primary focus for this leadership platform is to eventually generate appointments but it’s also great for the secondary purposes of general marketing, brand awareness, content distribution, and getting eyeballs to your website and so on. The main purpose is simply that you are running a Facebook or LinkedIn group, and the positioning that goes with it. Make sure to adjust your profile slightly on both Facebook and/or LinkedIn, to make it clear that you are the founder of your group.

3. Prospecting and Building Your Database

It’s now time to build your database with your ideal prospects and buyers. In my book I’ll show you the most efficient and effective way to pack your prospect database with warm, targeted leads any time you want to, so you can proactively pursue high quality clients every day.

Even if you currently have no list, no following, no nothing…this will work for you. In fact, many of our clients come to us with nothing. And using this process, they are able to create a database of hundreds of targeted, qualified prospective clients in a matter of days.

But here’s a quick tip. If you’re using LinkedIn all you need to do is simply send connection requests to a large number of targeted prospects. You’ll use the advanced people search (LinkedIn’s search tool) to find qualified prospects and send them a connection request. You’ll want to send at least 300 connection requests in the initial database build. If you really want to go all out, you can send up to 1,5000.

The key is including a personalized script in the connection request, which will typically get you 50-70% of prospects to connect with you.

Here’s a simple example of what this script might look like:

Hey First Name,

I came across your profile here on LinkedIn and thought we could benefit from being connected.

Thanks!
Your Name Founder, Your Group Name

Easy right?!

4. Creating Your Messaging Machine

Having a powerful messaging strategy to leverage and convert your database into leads and appointments on a regular basis is crucial to your success.

This is a critical step to getting off what I call, “The Cash Flow Rollercoaster.” This is a system to consistently bring new prospects, leads and clients in the door. Without it, you’ll just be relying on referrals and the old methods that just aren’t working as well anymore. And your business will be stuck in neutral, if not sliding backwards.

Here are a few campaigns we teach our students and you can probably Google to get some ideas for yourself:

• Multi-Touch Point Nurture Campaign
• Referencing a Shared Connection
• Request for Call Right After Connecting
• Re-engaging Existing Connections
• Asking Permission to Send Your Lead Magnet

And so on!

5. Using An Email Blueprint Strategy

This strategy will allow you to integrate what you’ve built on Facebook or LinkedIn and take it up a notch or two, generating an ADDITIONAL 10-20% more appointments.

Over time, this adds up to a significant source of new clients! As the saying goes the money is in the follow up so this is all about having a system to keep you in front of your prospects mind at all times.

And that’s it (in a nutshell). Doable? I know so.

If you’re in a place where you’re not sure where your next client is going to come from, then I highly suggest you pick up a copy of “Booked” right away.

To help as many of you as possible, for the next of couple days you can get my book, “Booked” 100% FREE. It’s normally $12.95, so be sure to grab your copy asap.I’m sharing this system in Booked because I know it works. I’ve used it to scale my own business many times over. And it’s done the same for hundreds of my clients.

By releasing it out into the world like this, I know it will help a ton of other people. People like you. Folks who offer great products and services, but are having a hard time getting traction and generating enough cash flow to grow their businesses.

I think you’re really going to love this book – and I can’t wait to get a copy of it in your hands!

This “Type” Of Person Succeeds No Matter What…Does This Describe You?

Japanese warrior walking to red circle

What does it mean to be a ‘warrior’?

Well, first things first. The warrior, as I teach in my programs, is an archetype and is used in mythology as a model to help us better ourselves.

The warrior is a model of inner power. The warrior’s way is the way of action.

And to be a warrior, you must not only take action, you must take UNCONDITIONAL ACTION.

In other words, if you want to succeed, you will need to become someone who takes action—no matter what.

You need to become a “whatever-it-takes” kind of person.

Think about a warrior in the heat of battle in the battlefield—which could just as easily be you in the business world when things get tough or uncomfortable or don’t go your way.

Is a warrior going to say things like, “Oh, I don’t know, it’s getting kind of late, I’ve been fighting all day, I don’t feel like it.”

What happens if they say that? Boom, they’re dead. They cannot say that—they don’t have that luxury.

And neither do you…IF you want to reach high, high levels of success in the real world.

You need to do whatever it takes.

So, let me ask you a question, if you lived your life like you are in the battlefield and you are fighting for your life right now, and every second is a life or death situation, and if you did not succeed you would actually die…

…Would you be taking any different actions than you are taking right now? Would you have a different attitude than you have right now?

Of course you would.

Then you may say, ”But Harv, I’m not in that situation.”

Right, and that’s why you don’t take those actions, true or true?

And that’s why you’re not as successful as you could be.

Then you may say, ”But Harv, how am I supposed to keep a balanced lifestyle if I’m always focused on getting the job done?”

My friends, it doesn’t mean you’re not in balance if you’re a warrior.

When you play and when you do business, the warrior way is either 100% or 0%.

There is no black and white. It’s life or death. You are either involved 100% and giving 100% of yourself, or you’re not. And when you’re resting, you give 100% to rest. And when you’re playing, you give 100% to playing. And when you’re with your family, you give 100% to your family.

Then you go back into your work or business, and you give 100% to that.

Now it’s also critical that you understand that a “whatever-it-takes” type of person will act in spite of their mood. And this is something I see that stops the majority of my students from becoming as successful as they’d like to be.

You may notice yourself saying things like…

“I don’t feel like it.”

“I’m not sure how to do this.”

“I’m afraid.”

“I’m tired.”

“What if they don’t like me?”

“What if I fail?”

As you’ve heard before: feel the fear and do it anyway.

The key here is that when your mind is saying something to you, you can still act.

Remember, your mind is just an inner voice, it isn’t even real.

And most people believe their mind. They believe that their mind is them, giving them accurate information.

But you don’t have to believe that voice in your head. That is a conditioned, learned response.

Instead, you have to act in spite of fear.

Don’t try to get rid of fear—because you can’t. The only time you ever get rid of your mind and your fear is when you die.

So what do you do when those thoughts creep in and your mind starts chattering away?

As I teach on my Don’t Believe A Thought You Think web class, you say these four magic words: “Thank you for sharing.” I also reveal a few other strategies and techniques to help quiet the mind and live from your higher self.

*If you want to register for my upcoming ENCORE class on February 9th, click here.*

The truth is, if you want to succeed, you CANNOT listen to your own mind. You must feel the fear and do it anyway.

Act in spite of fear. Act in spite of your mood. Act in spite of anything.

That is the true warrior, and I KNOW it is in you.

How do you adopt the warrior way? Do you have trouble silencing your mental chatter? Share your experiences and thoughts in the comments below!

Are you ready to become a warrior?

Would you like to discover how to take unconditional action and act in spite of ANY fears, doubts, worries, or obstacles?

For Your Freedom,

The 13 Biggest Differences Between Rich People & Poor People

the great divide

Ah yes — the great divide.

Between the rich and the poor. How are they so different from each other?

(I’ve got a long explanation here, but read to the very end and I promise you it will be worth it.)

Every time, and I mean every time, you blame, justify, or complain, you are slitting your financial throat.

Now… you can be a victim or you can be rich, but you can’t be both. Here’s why!

1. Rich people play the money game to win. Poor people play the money game to not lose.

The goal of truly rich people is to have massive wealth and for many of them, it’s to help a lot of people.

One of the principles we teach in our programs is, “If you shoot for the stars, you’ll at least hit the moon.” Poor people don’t even shoot for the ceiling in their house, and then they wonder why they’re not successful.

2. Rich people are committed to being rich. Poor people want to be rich.

The number one reason most people don’t get what they want is that they don’t know what they want. Rich people are totally clear that they want wealth. They are unwavering in their desire. They are fully committed to creating wealth. As long as it’s legal, moral, and ethical, they will do whatever it takes to have wealth. Rich people do not send mixed messages to the universe. Poor people do.

The third level of wanting is “I commit to being rich.” The definition of the word commit is to “devote oneself unreservedly.” This means holding absolutely nothing back; giving 100 percent of everything you’ve got to achieving wealth.

It means being willing to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes. This is the warrior’s way. No excuses, no ifs, no butts, no maybes — and failure isn’t an option. The warrior’s way is simple: “I will be rich or I will die trying.”

In my experience, getting rich takes focus, courage, knowledge, expertise, 100 percent of your effort, a never-give-up attitude and, of course, a rich mindset.

Are you willing to work 16 hours a day? Rich people are. Are you willing to work seven days a week and sometimes most of your weekends? Rich people are. Are you willing to sacrifice for at least a period of time seeing your family, your friends, and give up your recreations and hobbies? Rich people are. Are you willing to risk all your time, energy and start-up capital with no guarantee of returns? Rich people are.

It’s simple — you will be paid in direct proportion to the value you create in the marketplace.

How do you want to live your life? How do you want to play the game? Do you want to play in the big leagues or in the little leagues, in the majors or the minors? Are you going to play big or play small? It’s your choice.

Your life is not just about you. It’s also about contributing to others. It’s about living true to your mission and reason for being here on this earth at this time. It’s about adding your piece of the puzzle to the world.

Most people are so stuck in their egos that everything revolves around them. But if you want to be rich in the truest sense of the word, it can’t only be about you. It has to include adding value to other people’s lives.

Part of your mission in life then must be to share your gifts with as many people as possible. That means being willing to play big.

The byproduct is that the more people you help, the “richer” you become, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and definitely financially.

3. Rich people see opportunities. Poor people see obstacles. Rich people see potential growth. Poor people see potential loss. Rich people focus on rewards. Poor focus on the risks.

Rich people take responsibility for the results in their lives and act upon the mindset “It will work because I’ll make it work.”

Rich people are committed enough to do whatever it takes. Period.

It comes down to this: If not you, then who?

4. Rich people focus on what they want, while poor people focus on what they don’t want.

Did you know that there are no straight lines in the universe? Life doesn’t travel in perfectly straight lines. It moves more like a winding river. More often than not, you can only see to the next bend, and only when you reach that next turn can you see more.

Action always beats inaction.

I have found that the richest people I know are also the nicest.

Bless that which you want. If you see a person with a beautiful home, bless that person and bless that home. If you see a person with a beautiful car, bless that person and bless that car. If you see a person with a loving family, bless that person and bless that family. If you see a person with a beautiful body, bless that person and bless their body.

Everything happens for a reason and that reason is there to assist me.

From now on, I want you to practice reframing other people’s negativity as a reminder of how NOT to be. Nothing has meaning except for the meaning we give it.

Energy is contagious: Either you affect people or you infect people.

I believe negative thinking is like having measles of the mind. Instead of itching, you get bitching; instead of scratching, you get bashing; instead of irritation, you get frustration. Now, do you really want to be close to people like that?

5. Rich people are almost always excellent promoters.

They are willing to promote their products, their services, and their ideas with passion and enthusiasm.

Resenting promotion is one of the greatest obstacles to success. People who have issues with selling and promotion are usually broke.

6. Poor people will do almost anything to avoid problems.

Poor people see a challenge and they run…

The secret to success, my friends, is not to try to avoid, or get rid of, or shrink from your problems; the secret is to grow yourself so that you are bigger than your problems.

If you have a big problem in your life, all that means is that you are being a small person!

If you want to make a permanent change, stop focusing on the size of your problems and start focusing on the size of you!

I go over this specific principle in my upcoming web class, “Don’t Believe A Thought You Think: The Greatest Secret To Life

7. Rich and successful people are solution-oriented.

Rich people spend their time and energy strategizing and planning the answers to challenges that come up, and creating systems to make certain that problem doesn’t occur again.

Think of yourself as a container for wealth. If your container is small and your money is big, what’s going to happen? You will lose it. Your container will overflow and the excess money will spill out all over the place. You simply cannot have more money than the container. Therefore you must grow to be a big container so you not only hold more wealth, but you also attract more wealth.

8. Rich people do not back away from problems, do not avoid problems, and do not complain about problems.

Rich people are financial warriors.

The bottom line is that if you become a master at handling problems and overcoming obstacles, what can stop you from success? The answer is nothing! And if nothing can stop you, you become unstoppable!

If a 100-foot oak tree had the mind of a human, it would only grow to be 10 feet tall!

Again this is something I cover a lot in my web class, “Don’t Believe A Thought You Think: The Greatest Secret To Life

9. Rich people work hard and believe it’s perfectly appropriate to be well rewarded for their efforts and the value they provide for others.

Poor people work hard, but due to their feelings of unworthiness, they believe that it is inappropriate for them to be well rewarded for their efforts and the value they provide.

Get really rich and then help the people who didn’t have the opportunity you did.

If you have the wherewithal to have a lot of money, have it.

How you do anything is how you do everything.

There’s nothing wrong with getting a steady paycheck, unless it interferes with your ability to earn what you’re worth. There’s the rub. It usually does.

Living based in security is living based in fear.

10. Rich people believe in themselves. They believe in their value and in their ability to deliver it.

Poor people don’t. That’s why they need “guarantees.”

The only way to earn what you’re really worth is to get paid based on your results.

Do you want a successful career or a close relationship with your family? Both! Do you want a focus on business or have fun and play? Both! Do you want money or meaning in your life? Both! Do you want to earn a fortune or do the work you love? Both! Poor people always choose one or the other, rich people choose both.

Let’s set the record straight. Money is important! To say that it’s not as important as any other things in life is ludicrous. What’s more important, your arm or your leg? Could it be that both are important?

Money brings freedom — freedom to buy what you want, and freedom to do what you want with your time. Money allows you to enjoy the finer things in life as well as giving you the opportunity to help others have the necessities in life.

Most of all, having money allows you not to have to spend your energy worrying about not having money.

11. Poor people either mismanage their money or they avoid the subject of money altogether.

I don’t know about you, but where I went to school, Money Management 101 wasn’t offered. Instead we learned about the War of 1812, which of course is something I use every single day.

The single biggest difference between financial success and financial failure is how well you manage your money. It’s simple: to master money, you must manage money.

Saying, “I’ll start managing my money as soon as I get caught up” is like an overweight person saying, “I’ll start exercising and dieting as soon as I lose 20 pounds.”

You must acquire the habits and skills of managing a small amount of money before you can have a large amount.

Money is a big part of your life, and when you learn how to get your finances under control, all areas of your life will soar.

It comes down to this: either you control money, or it controls you. To control money, you must manage it.

12. Rich people have their money work hard for them while poor people work hard for their money.

Rich people see every dollar as a “seed” that can be planted to earn a hundred more dollars, which can then be replanted to earn a thousand more dollars.

Eventually rich people get the choice to work or not.

Poor people don’t invest their money and are stuck working for the rest of their lives.

13. Rich people are willing to act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop them.

It’s imperative to realize that it is not necessary to try to get rid of fear in order to succeed. Rich and successful people have fear, rich and successful people have doubts, rich and successful people have worries. They just don’t let these feelings stop them. Unsuccessful people have fears, doubts, and worries, then let those feelings stop them.

We need to practice acting in spite of fear, in spite of doubt, in spite of worry, in spite of uncertainty, in spite of inconvenience, in spite of discomfort, and even to practice acting when we’re not in the mood to act.

If you are willing to do only what’s easy, life will be hard. But if you’re willing to do what’s hard, life will be easy.

Either you’re a person who will be stopped, or you are a person who won’t be stopped. You choose.

So there you have it. Now it’s your choice who you’d rather be like. If you want to be rich, do what rich people do. If you don’t, then do what broke people do.

Simple right?

Where to begin? It all starts with what is inside of you — more specifically, your mind.

Your thoughts lead to your feelings, that lead to your actions that lead to your results.

Either you control your mind or it controls you.

So I created a web class that is happening on Tuesday February 7th that’s going to show you proven principles and techniques to tame your mind, master your life and become unstoppable.

It’s called: Don’t Believe A Thought You Think: The Greatest Secret To Life.

I’d like you to join me as my guest, it’s free to attend.

Positive Thinking Won’t Make You Rich… But This “Type” Of Thinking Will

man with brain artwork

Whenever you’re feeling down on your luck or efforts, how many times have you heard someone say, “Just be positive, it will all be okay.”

Or how many times have you told your own self to keep your chin up and that things would look better in due time?

I think we’ve all experienced and done this at some point.

When I was working hard to get rich, I repeated these phrases to myself ALL THE TIME. I did everything to try and stay positive when things got hard.

But then one day, all of that changed.

I was done with positive thinking. And it was when I flipped that thought around, that things REALLY started changing and looking up and the fun started.

What do I mean? Well, let me start with this example.

On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest, imagine you are a person with a level 2 strength of character and attitude looking at a level 5 problem. Would this problem appear to be big or little? From a level 2 perspective, a level 5 problem would seem like a big problem.

Now imagine you’ve grown yourself and become a level 8 person. Would the same level 5 problem be a big problem or a little problem? Magically, the identical problem is now a little problem.

Finally, imagine that you’ve really worked hard on yourself and become a level 10 person. Now, is this same level 5 problem a big problem or a little problem?

The answer is that it’s no problem. It doesn’t even register in your brain as a problem. There’s no negative energy around it. It’s just a normal occurrence to handle, like brushing your teeth or getting dressed.

It gets easier the higher the level you’re at… now why do you think this is?

It’s simple — it lies in what I like to call “power thinking”.

And how is “power thinking” different from “positive thinking”?

The distinction is slight but profound. To me, people use positive thinking to pretend that everything is rosy, when they really believe that it’s not. With power thinking, we understand that everything is neutral, that nothing has meaning except for the meaning we give it.

This is the difference between positive thinking and power thinking.

With positive thinking, people believe that their thoughts are true.

Power thinking recognizes that our thoughts are not true, but since we’re making up a story anyway, we might as well make up a story that supports us. We don’t do this because our new thoughts are “true” in an absolute sense, but because they are or useful to us and feel a heck of a lot better than non-supportive ones.

It all comes down to this: if your subconscious “financial blueprint” is not “set” for success, nothing you learn, nothing you know, and nothing you do will make much of a difference.

After 14 years of struggle I finally changed my thinking — I went from positive thinking to power thinking — and the first thing I did was commit to my success and played the money game to win!

I swore I would focus and not even consider leaving this business until I was a millionaire or more.

This was radically different from my previous efforts, where, because I always thought short-term, I would constantly get side-tracked by either good opportunities or when things got tough. I convinced myself everything would be okay if I kept my eyes and ears peeled for any opportunity that came my way.

It’s not enough to be in the right place at the right time. You have to be the right person in the right place at the right time.

If you want to change the fruits, you will first have to change the roots. If you want to change the visible, you must first change the invisible.

In every forest, on every farm, in every orchard on earth, it’s what’s under the ground that creates what’s above the ground. That’s why placing your attention on the fruits that you have already grown is futile. You cannot change the fruits that are already hanging on the tree. You can, however, change tomorrow’s fruits. But to do so, you will have to dig below the ground and strengthen the roots.

You gotta work on that POWER thinking.

What you cannot see in the world is far more powerful than anything you can see.

Money is a result, wealth is a result, health is a result, your weight is a result. We live in a world of cause and effect.

A lack of money is never, ever, ever a problem. A lack of money is merely a symptom of what is going on underneath.

And all that lies in how you think.

Whatever results you’re getting, be they rich or poor, good or bad, positive or negative, always remember that your outer world is simply a reflection of your inner world i.e. how you think. It’s that simple.

Now get to work on your power thinking!

Did this article help? Have you had any experiences with changing how you think and getting a new result? We want to hear from you!

Now how do you change your inner world if you’re not getting the results you’re looking for? The first step — awareness. Becoming aware of those thoughts that are creating those feelings which are driving your actions and causing your results.
