Discover Why Your Problems Are Caused By The Way You Think

Have you ever heard the saying, “You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it?”
I believe it was Einstein that first said this. I think this is a very powerful statement, but what exactly does it mean?
It means that if you want a new solution, you have to come up with a new way of thinking about that problem.
I want to share with you what I believe could be one of the most important things you’ll ever learn – or ever get reminded of – in your entire life. This is critical thinking if you want to go through life in a joyful, happy, balanced, and less stressed way.
Now, you don’t have to believe this—you just have to be open to it and see if you can resonate with it.
Ready?
For the most part, all of our problems are caused by the way we think.
Meaning that ANY problem you experience beyond your primal human needs (food, shelter, and water)….are SOLELY created by your mind.
Now, you might not like that. You may be thinking, “Harv, you’re not saying that I’m just ‘making up’ my problems, are you?”
Well, it depends. But I’m going to say with certainty that almost all of the time…you are.
Again, I want to remind you of a few things. Your mind is based on survival. Its job is protection. Therefore, it’s always looking for what’s wrong, or what could go wrong in any situation.
Imagine a security guard. What kind of security guard is going to be looking for what’s right? Can you imagine hiring a bodyguard that’s only looking for what’s right?
No, that would never happen,. Why? Because that’s not their job. What does a bodyguard look for? It looks for problems, it looks for danger.
It looks for things that can shake up what’s familiar. If you’re considering a new business opportunity, perhaps trying something a little risky, your mind will just look for problems.
Consequently, your mind is 100% fear-based.
Now, if you know your mind is fear-based, where are your problems?
Yep, you got it – in your mind.
In other words, if you want to create real solutions, you’ve got to get outside that mind, because that mind is loaded with fear. By trying to protect you, your mind is actually limiting what you’re capable of… so instead of just listening to it, you need to constantly bring it into question.
Instead, acknowledge your thoughts and say the 4 magic words: “Thank you for sharing”, and then take the necessary action and do what you were going to do, anyway.
By understanding that your mind is your greatest asset, but also your greatest liability, you’re able to consciously accept or reject what it’s telling you – so you have the power to decide your next move.
Is your mind creating problems in your life right now? How do you overcome it? Share your thoughts, and any tips or techniques you use in the comments below!
As we talked about, your mind can be your greatest asset or your greatest liability.

For Your Freedom,

In reality problems are illusions.
I believe that ,”life is easy,
we just complicate it”
*
In a way, they are. In my life experiences, I’ve found that problems have really been opportunities in disguise. When it’s all said and done, looking back what was perceived as a problem actually was the gateway to something greater. I can’t tell you how many times this has been the result.
The reason for this is that it gives us the ability to reform. When we reform sometimes in radical ways to sidestep a roadblock we create at our next new level of understanding and thus everything about that new creation will be at this higher level. 😉
After having breast cancer, the fear of it returning is all consuming. That fear can make your hands go cold and your face heat up and cause your heart to skip a beat. It is terribly immobilizing and can effect day to day activities. I try very hard to keep my mind away from these thoughts by eating healthy, getting outside and doing things I love to do. Plus I take many inexpensive on line courses which I do in the evening so I go to sleep thinking of something else. Not easy to do but I try. Thanks for all the great stuff you send out.
Sheryl I am sending you so much love! A good friend of mine who survived cancer (20 years ago!) described the same mind-challenge. I hope Harv’s tips and all the other resources you find serve you so well.
Sheryl , I am inspired by your courage. Please know that I am sending prayers and love , so that you may heal. Peace , Linda

Very well said Karv. I think one of the ways is to open to the unknown new ideas by being in the present and explore. Mins works based on what it knows. What the mind knows are limited facts which are accumulated by it based on the experiences. But it is limited. So we have to realize that there are many things which are not known to us. As you said in one of your sessions that , during the begininng of your business career, some one said that you do not know something and suggested you to observe how the rich people are making money. It is simply same as that!!!
Harv not Karv. 🙂
In this moment I’m developing an Mlm business. The problem is my father is against this activity. Every time I see him, I can see his disagree and it is conditioning me. I’ve read the millionaire mind secret and now I know I must to control my mind
Harv, I saw you many years ago live in Ottawa, ON… it was wonderful! I’m now trained in Time Line Therapy (R), Hypnotherapy, and NLP and work with the unconscious mind to get results for my clients.! I just wrote my first book and I have Thanked You in my book as one of my teachers! Love all your articles and books.! My book launch is March 2nd and is called “Your Life Matters” – Shit Happens, Now What?
Ok so I’m a bit puzzled by this article. Are you suggesting any time you have an idea you just go ahead and do it even if there are read flags and it’s not a great idea? Isn’t the mind also there to help you rationalize? I and my sister are one of those people who always have ideas and follow them and it leads to way more stress financial loss and issues so I don’t know if I can truly say just jumping on any opportunity you see is a good idea. Despite if what your mind or intuition is telling you it’s a bad idea. Am I missing the point to this article? Are there not times when one needs to differiante when an opportunity actually makes sense?
Aly, that is definitely not what Harv would like you to do.
Good sense should be followed. But you should be aware that our fear often prevents us from being successful even in the face of good sense. There is a difference, and you need to be able to distinguish between the two.
I like how you said that everything is neutral. WE assign meaning. That was brilliant!
Interesting discussion. Something to think about and put into practice.
It is always a task for me to not belief what I think and to be aware. I’m training this with playing chess and what a blunders I make! For me it is a fun way to learn and I’m looking forward to your solutions and add it to my routines. Greetings from Holland!
Great article and creates a lot of thought. One has to do the homework on new projects before getting involved. Also one must always listen to one’s intuition, as it will never guide you in the wrong direction
As I have read in one of the books I like very much: “Think about what you are thinking about, and change what you think about, so it’s congruent with who you are meant to be.”
Now there are many techniques to do that, one good and effective (in case the thought isn’t too deeply rooted), and as also mentioned in the book Secrets of the Millionaire mind is to simply say: “Cancel, cancel. Thank you for sharing”. If the thought persists, I simply ask my mind to tell me everything it want to tell me. And then observe thoughts coming to the surface. I also encourage it to tell more and more untill it got nothing more to say and even then I say please tell me everything. In the process of listening to my thoughts I imagine the talking mind as a seperate entitiy becoming smaller and smaller until it is the size of an ant and a voice sounding high pitch like. This makes you see the absurdity and if you want you can tell this “ant” thank you for sharing in the end and smash it with your feet. This last thing is only optional, use whatever makes you confortable. Then replace the thought with positive (opposite) or some use white light or whatever. You have to know that universe hate vacuum and you have to place something in the place of old thoughts. That way in time this positive opposite thought will begin to grow, develop new neural pathways in the brain and old thought will become dormant.
In case there are emotions surfacing the thoughts, that is other thing. You have to know that the emotions and feelings are like compass and show you what you are thinking. Felling good moves you in direction of your goal, feeling bad is moving away from it. You are suppose to feel good and strive to feeling better and better. Sometimes you can’t do that. That means that the feeling is deeply rooted in you and there might be some other feelings and emotions beneath it. Good news is that there are also some very effective techniques, one of them being EFT (emotional freedom technique). Based on what I know from experience this only removes the energy patterns on the surface, not also deeply rooted believes and feelings assosiated with it. If you search, you can find some very good techniques online or contact some local experts. One good thig is also to attend Millionaire Mind Intensive as I have done recently. You will find many useful techniques in that working seminar 🙂 And also you might find people that are already working on similar areas so you can help eachother and exchange experiences. You will find lots of good people there.
Thank you so very much , Klemen, for sharing so much of the teachings that you have received. I am very grateful for the time and effort it took to do so. I will keep it, and refer to it, to remind me of those teachings. Peace , Linda
There are only 2 emotions..fear or love…
Hello, Harv, thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. I recognize the importance to be aware about our thoughts, and it´s necessary to lead our mind to the right way…. all the time.
Greetings from Guatemala City
I disagree.:))) Sometimes other minds and other fears created problems – not us….
Agree partly. Some of the problems come from the wrong teachings including religious teachings.
I’ve been studying this subject for a while, and I agree that the mind is the only thing that can create. Weather you have a good or a bad life, all your experiences are determined by the thoughts your consistently have on your awareness. What I’m still struggling with, and perhaps is the same with many of you, is what I’m not thinking in order to have a good financial life. Still working on that. Any thoughts?
Dalai, sounds like you are on the right track. View T Harv’s info until it gets in your heart. Make sure you have your vision for your life written down and you will find things lining up from there. Practice “Thank you for sharing” followed by an empowering thought and watch your situation change speedily.
Make a list of what you desire with the money you desire to make.
Be clear with what you want on material level, don’t focus on getting anything just for status.
Yes, I did have a lot of problems because my mind last year, now I´m more present and thinking more neutral about every situation that happens to me.
The mind will keep tirelessly working to solve any problem, even if the ‘problem’ is totally contrived. The only way I’ve found to alleviate the problem is breathing.. A Six count breath in and out for 2 minutes.
It quiets the mind and allows you to choose a more relevant thought to focus upon.. You’ll never achieve a ‘no thought’ state, because that’s not the nature of the mind.. So it’s best to treat it like a puppy and give it something good to play with..Especially before going to sleep.
Thank you so much T Harvey, I have applied your teaching successfully. I am grateful you don’t just share info, but you engage us and when your suggestions are consistently utilized a huge difference is in order. I appreciate being able to attend MMI, it literally changed my mind and my money, wealth, businesses etc. God bless.
Wherever a negative thought shows up in my mind I ask to myself, ” did it trouble me while I was sleeping last night? ” if the answer is no then I know it’s just an illusion and I return back to present moment.
I agree with you Harv.sometimes my mind think only how to pay my bills and not to get a lot of money
Yes, life was supposed to be simple and we complicate it.
And it’s because we broke up form relationship with our MAKER to which we were created. Everybody is now self centered and selfish and has got their will to push their stuff. Look there are about 7 bilion of such “wills” – contrary to each other in most cases. They influsence you for all your life but especially in your childhood, adolescence and first steps in adult life mainly as Persons of Authority, life breakdowns and tests. So it takes rebuilding your core and learning the art of living anew.
HI HARV.
right now I talked with a teacher today who is helping me.I’m Doubting with my univrsity,She says me that i’m waitting to someone who came and help me thats ridiculus,I must to do an analysis with myself, because no one will do,only me.
Hello T. Harv and Team, it is great reading your lesson this week, I like trying to adjust something in my life with a challenge each day and sometimes nothing some days, each day comes with a learning curve. Thank you!
Thank you so very much , Mr Eker, for continuing to shine a light on my path, so that I may take the next step. You are a teacher from whom I have learned so many valuable principles. Peace , Linda
It has worked for me saying to my mind “I know the solution to this problem” or “thanks for giving the solution” when I don´t know what to do! 🙂
the mind is an overzealous servant/bodyguard. we need to set boundaries for it else it runs amok or keeps us in a gilded cage.
