The #1 Reason Why You’re Working Too Hard And Earning Too Little

We look at the Great Pyramids and wonder how they did that without today’s earth movers. The Great Wall of China is still being walked on over 2,000 years later, and they didn’t have metal cranes and tractors.
Luckily for us, business owners won’t have to go through the same kind of back-breaking work as the people who built these human wonders. when you’re starting out, though, the tasks you need to focus on can seem as daunting as building a monument.
In a way, you are. Your business is your legacy. It’s your obligation to oversee its construction. It’s equally important to know that you can’t do it alone, nor should you have to.
This is where the warrior cultivates the fine art of leverage. Leverage is the critical distinction between the people in this world who earn a moderate income and the people who earn massive income.
Leverage simply means doing more with less. The idea is to work smarter, not harder. Get more done – deliver more value with less of your time and energy. Replace yourself as much as possible.
You as a resource equals your time and energy. Most people work on a ratio of one to one. There’s a limit to that. The ones who make the most money are not the day to day workers. They are the creators and architects.
You want to use other people’s talents, skills, contacts, abilities and resources. Other people may be better than you at certain things. Do what you’re good at and let others do what you’re not good at.
For example selling products before you have them is a great form of leverage when starting a business. I did this with Fitness Land. I got money up front from customers then bought the machines. Suppliers want you to do well. I asked them to come in on the advertising before I had the equipment. They put up money for the adverts and I could get the equipment.
Creating a book, program, or technology idea and licensing it for royalties is a way you can leverage for passive income.
The best form of leverage is self-education. You learn certain things and develop yourself so you can put that knowledge into action, which is a huge step. You have to do something with it or else your knowledge is useless. If you’re highly educated and you don’t use what you’ve learned, you start to feel bad about yourself.
Cut out things you don’t enjoy so then you’ll be doing what you really love doing. Change the story about what’s available for you in your life, where you can be, how you play the game.
You only live once. You create your reality. Don’t do things because you think you have to and don’t live out of fear and obligation.
We don’t want you to at the end of your life say “I did what I had to do.” Life is too short for that. And that SUCKS.
If you’re not using leverage, you’re working too hard and earning too little. A lot of people may not think of themselves as creative, but leveraging means creatively maximizing what’s available to you.
What can you leverage? What are you “stuck” doing that you have to do at the moment? We want to hear from you!
Self-education is my favorite form of leverage.
And teaching you is one of my favorite things to do!
Which is why I want to give away a complimentary copy of my e-book: SpeedWealth: “How To Stop Earning A Living And Start Creating Wealth”.

Hello
If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.
Thank you for reminding me. We can get so wrapped up in doing the work that we tend to forget to use the knowledge that we gain along the way. Here is to putting knowledge into action.

Great stuff again Harv. Thank you so much!
I have been leveraging all my life as a corporate person in employment in senior management positions. Delegation and follow up! Delegation and follow up!
I just realised that, having attended and participated in your coaching programs, and read books by other mentors, that the ultimate to leveraging rests in becoming an entrepreneur.
I am glad i have taken that direction and have been enjoying a fulfilling life ever since. The challenge now is to put into practice what i have learned and to get rich doing what i love and prove to myself that i am truly the Child of the Universe!!!
Thank you Harv and your awesome team!
Thanks for your knowledge! We need you in South America! Count on us to make it real!
Harv my partner has saving invested in low risk mutual funds. Real-estate in my home town in Southern Ontario 45 minutes fro Toronto is rising in price weekly due to a new highway from Toronto area which will make our city a “bedroom community” for the Greater Toronto area. We looked at homes in the Spring which since them have rose $60,000.00 in 6 months. Predictions are a spiral of prices for the next 8 to 10 years. Bonnie owns her own home is 71 and not all that healthy (memory issues) Her investments were earning 3 to 4% annually but in that same 6month period where housing stated to boom she lost money. She is not young 71 and I’m 68. I realize markets go up the down then up etc but we are not kids and would like to earn as much as possible with cash to invest so we can live comfortably before illness etc takes over. I realize housing in regular markets can be volatile as well but all signs here indicate a steady price increase annually for the next several years if not 10 ++ what would you recommend. PS: Her financial advisor a young kid from SunLife Insurance in Canada says stay the course take your losses for now it will be ok. Help please
Thanks Harv love reading and listening to your motivational material, thanks for the ebook.
Thanks!! 🙂
Every word you say is true.I know God has given me the ability to write.I have to use it.Thanks a million. You are awesome.
Not being focused and trying to over expand / diluting one’s resources before the prior project has a solid foudation
Thank You Harve, Self Education is the way to go in today’s world, You go to school to learn how to read and write, but self knowledge is important to do A Business well, You cannot learn that in school.
Well said Harv! I am stuck with finding affiliates who would promote my products I sell online. Any advice?
Thank you
Teri
Thanks that makes sense, I am a very logical person and that makes logical sense to bottom line delegate what you do. But I’m sure you have another way to teach how to deal with apprehension, worry, fear, doubt in other people. I absolutely have no doubt in myself because I know myself and I know I have great integrity and I will maintain that great integrity yes at times it is a struggle but I get through it because I’m a strong fighter or in your words warrior. Yes, it comes down to trust, it comes down to risk, it comes down to possibly micromanaging the person at first to make sure but in my type business I developed this type of attitude I don’t trust anybody and I don’t think I ever will because I’m a contractor that goes behind contractors and fixes their mistakes so I’m constantly being confronted with the mistake.
So my question is. It all comes down to thinking, our mindsets, so that being said, how can I battle my apprehension dealing with people that don’t have integrity? You may say, well your gonna have to teach them. In my line of business I cannot afford one mistake on my part especially i’m the person fixing the mistake and that would not be good, know if it happened yeah it’s not the end of the world.
One of my problems is sifting through all the dirt until I find gold I don’t have time to sift through all the dirt but some people say you cannot afford to not sit through all the dirt to find the gold this is where I’m at.

Amazing. A friend and I started a school 15 years ago to gove poor children a chance at quality education. Not a business but unless we are business-like we have all sorts of problems, get very tired we are both retired. This is a blessing.
