How To Find Your Passion And Mission To Millions

I get asked a lot about passion. Lots of people simply don’t know what their passions are; what it is that they’re most passionate about.
Just keep this in mind: Opportunity lies where your pleasure, passion or skill intersects with other people’s pain or problem.
“Great, Harv, thanks, but what the heck does that mean?”
I’m saying that if you find yourself having this problem of trying to figure out what your passion is, approach it from the opposite direction. Instead of asking, “What’s my passion,” ask, “How can I help people?”
Here’s another question: “How would I love to help people?”
I remember talking about this exact thing in our program. When I would talk to somebody in the front I would say, “How can you help?” They would say, “By sharing landscaping ideas.” Then I would go to the next person and say, “How can you help?” They would say, “By taking people on underwater tours.”
I would ask someone else…“By showing people how to use a computer.”
“…by fixing their little radios and things like that. I’m great with my hands.”
It was like … in a second, they just came up with answers. It’s because it’s a spiritual connection. The way that you can really help people generally is what you’re passionate about, but we tend to put this big charge on the word passion.
Do you think you can help people in an area you have no interest in? Of course not, so stop asking the question “What’s my passion?” and start putting your energy and focus on other people and helping them.
I’ve had people ask me to help them find their passion and then create a business around it. What do you think the business is going to be, your passion? No! The business is not your passion.
The business is the value you give to others, and they pay you for it. The business is the problem you’re solving for them. The business is the pain that’s being alleviated by you.
I teach success. Why? I think that’s my purpose in life. Why? I wanted to be successful, but I had such a hard time with success. I had so many problems around it, so many crappy feelings, and so many issues that challenged me in my life. The day I was able to overcome those challenges and feelings I felt like it was my duty to help others.
The question is: did the chicken or the egg come first? What happened? Was it that this was my destiny all the time, to teach success, so I had to go through all of the crap for all of those years so I could teach it better? Or, did I go through all of that crap and from that problem I overcame it, and that became my purpose? I don’t know, and quite frankly, I don’t care.
I do know this: they seem to have coincided somehow–opportunity resided where my skill and learnings intersected with other people’s problems with success. The biggest challenge I had when I was young turned out to be my greatest gift and the way I can help people the best.
Thank God that when I started becoming more successful I loved writing all of the courses. I loved writing my Warrior and Wizard programs and Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind book, but the one that was surprising to me to write, and that I couldn’t believe how much I was enjoying, was Life Directions. It was almost like it was it was just coming through me.
In this case, the passion came after the decision that this was how I was going to help people. Maybe it’ll be the other way around for you. Very often if you’re having a hard time finding a direction, when you do find it, that might be your gift.
So just keep these two things in mind every time you’re worried about finding your passion:
1. Step outside of that thinking for a moment and consider how it is you can best help others.
2. If you’re stuck even with that question, consider what challenges in life you are or have been hell-bent on overcoming. There’s certainly passion in that!
Tell us what’s on your mind. What are some challenges that you’ve overcome in your life, or are trying to overcome? How could you translate that into a business? Or how did you translate that into success? We want to hear from you!

My biggest challenge I want overcome is believing life can never change.
Of course that life never change. The one that can change is yourself. So don’t worry about what can’t be changed.
The challenge that i overcome to my life is when i was young i always feel that I can’t deep connect to others people around me, yes , we are talking , we communicate but that’s something outside money , house , clothes. It’s not deep down in the inside what are they truly give the meaning to life ? Life is not only make a money. Thanks Harv to teach me money is important and I believe that , but the meaning that come with that money , the truly care , the joy that i really want everyone that reach me happy and have smiling again. We can deep connect , appreciate each others , really support each others , and I’m really happy once I can see people smiling , unlock from whatever the past experience that make them stuck. I truly happy once i see them smiling again and have a hope , have a faith to live this life. We can talk , we can share , we can touch and hug and support each others and really once we come back to see again and know their life is going well. they enjoy the joy in every single day while they move forward to the life that they want. just be happy and smiling once a time in every single day and can touch people around them. It’s my meaning of life 🙂 Thanks Harv , thanks for your wisdom that guide me to move forward , keep going . Thanks you so much 🙂
I wrote a blog some time ago for those people who are still stuck putting one foot in front of the other. Who are just making ends meet, are raising a family, and are merely existing rather than thriving. I feel that if those folks could uncover their passion, even just as a hobby in the beginning, it would open the doors you speak of, Harv. This topic did help me to find out what is my passion in life Thanks lot.

I am trying to overcome poverty and lack of a high paying job
I would like to share with you two specific ideas on how I got out of poverty. Interested?
Hi Harv, I grew up with a passion for fishing, so when I was about 27 years old, I got in to the charter fishing industry, taking people fishing and teaching them about fishing and the sea. I am now 48 and are still fishing, but have really not earned much money from teaching and taking people fishing. I stiil get a big buzz out of seeing people catch their first fish or biggest fish or just having a great day on the water. So I’m really must have some tyoe of mental block when it comes to money. Just a light bulb moment while writting this message, I would love to be a marine biologist and help people to understand whats under the ocean. A little lost at the moment to tell you the truth. Thanks for your help.
Cheers Craig from Australia
ps I bought the Abiundance factor movie and love your work on that and look forward to live webinar with you.

Great questions…how would I LOVE to help people! I love having conversations that empower woman. I love instigating a playful attitude and encouraging woman to nurture and care for themselves. Honor and value themselves!! YIPPPEEEEE!
Thank you Harv for this powerful lesson! I was one of those people who don’t know their passion and have a hard time figuring it out but after reading this it goes BOOoM! the answer is just right in front of me!! Thank you again!!?
Hi! I’m from Russia. I like your books and lessons. Translate hard I try.
Moving toward the goal I did not have enough confidence.
Awesome stuff Harv. !!! I am on my way to be massive successful. Will keep you posted.Thank you. Herman South Africa
My biggest passion is that people know we are all one and that we are spiritual beings living in a body for a certain time. That we are going on forever. That we should care for ourselves as for others in a blanced way. And that boundaries are to be dropped. But I know that is far utopic and I don’t have a clue how this could become a business. Not sure, if these ideas would help anyone, it seems rather in today’s world we can’t use them really.
Thank you Harv. It has been a very difficult question to answer – what is my passion, and over all these years, I haven’t been able to answer. With your suggestion, of asking what I can do instead to help others, has opened up a new perspective. But I still feel a bit confused at this stage. Let me have the thoughts sink in a bit, maybe there will be some clarity as it all settles. Thanks once again for your wonderful teaching Harv,
Thank you so muchhh Mr T.Harv
This is the thing that is bothering me now. Thank you very much for your guidance
I always knew what my passions are and how can I help people doing my best and that people appreciate me. I hate 9-6 job, doing a complete nonsense, therefore I always wanted to create my own business. But I don’t have success, and reached over the years only 1-2 customers per year. So I’m struggling, frustrated and have no money.
Hola Harv, estoy en Brasil y siempre sigue, y estoy muy contento de alabarlo por este trabajo que se hace en beneficio de miles de personas que buscan la excelencia financiera.
Hi Harv,
Q1. What you are trying to overcome?
Fear of relationship.
I’ve been verbally and physically abused when I was a small kid. Nanny and her family was extremely evil to me. There’s nobody around me to support. I don’t have a father because he left when I was baby. I never have a chances to see him up until now. My mom working from morning until midnight. I thanked god my mom got a promotion and transfer to other state when I was 10 years old. I never report it to my mom. She’s too busy working. I hate kindergarten, school (teacher discriminate student thanks to the stupid grading system), college (want a higher grade you have to ‘air conditioning’ the lecturer). I hate it so much because of it’s negative environment/culture that I have to face, including office too. I don’t have close friend. I have experience being a victim of backstabbing. Therefore, I tend to avoid any deep connection with people. It’s hard to express my feeling. Anger, frustration, grudge, sadness. feeling emptiness. I keep changing jobs. I’m not happy working with people or being around people. TYFS.
Q2. How could you translate that into a business?
Still searching.
Right now, I’m trying to build an excellent connection with gods first. I’m not a good servant. But I do hope god ease the painful inside my heart and show me the straight path. Doing soul purification to let go the dark past.
Q3. How did you translate that into success?
I don’t have the answer.
Sorry for complaining too much. I am truly grateful reading your book and to know people like you exist to add value to other peoples life.
Thank you T. Harv Eker.
Hi Quest,
thanks first for sharing your childhood that is un pleasant. and no matter what I will never be able to say that I understand you because I never been into such position and childhood is have the major impact on the future of everyone. I know that it will be hard on you to trust easily but believe me there are few people outthere that are super valuable and they will appreciate your friendship.
correcting your relation with GOD is the best strategy, don’t forget to ask GOD for guidance and to send you the good people to surround you. if GOD love his servant will make everyone love that servant. and will make it up for you for all your bad childhood. just be optimistic. im sure you have great values and you will find your passion and success soon.
take care man
Hi Harv,
Thanks for the post, I always feels like I have different passions and I need to do a lot of things but I end up doing almost nothing, I need to learn how to focus. I’m still looking into what business I should be doing that have my passion. I’m an architect with different interest, Art, Public speaking, Design, Helping others. I recently realized of how much money is important although I’m 37 years old. I need to leave a great impact on all people in need around me including my self. and looking forward to find that business that will make me free and able to help others. this post will make me rethink in a different way so hopefully will come up with something soon
Some of the biggest challenges I have overcome is finding myself and finding my personal power. One challenge I am overcoming now is how to turn my thoughts into reality in the quickest and easiest way possible. I could start a business to help people find themselves and use their personal power for the greater good.
Thanks For this message today. You’re helping me take another step forward and identify what excites me , what could make me lots of money and solve problems. Nice way to reframe this. Thanks!
ACIU VISIEMS , KAS MYLI GYVŪNUS IR TIKIT MANIM !!!!!!!
THANK YOU HARV !!!!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!Now_I_know!!!!!Thanks_for_U
Genius. As usual Harv, you put into a few short lines the answer to one of the the grand questions of life. Thank you 🙂
Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou T.Harv. Eker, reframing the purpose question really has helped me. I have a fear of never finding my purpose before it is too late that absorbs most of my waking hours. I fear that what I have learned and can help others will be lost before I find a way to transmit it. I now know I just need to work out how I can help people and Im giving this some serious attention, sending you much love and gratitude, Paula
Great insights T Harv Eker. Its not always easy to decipher the word passion & your way is certainly very practical. Thanks again.
Thank you so much. This is very helpful right now
I really like that concept, it makes a lot of sense and I feel more ease already as I am just thinking about it. thank you for your knowledge!
Dear Harv, this lesson on finding own passion in life seems to me to be the best unusual suggestion I’ve ever read on this topic. Others have been enriching as well, but this was so simple yet so enlightning. Itself alone makes me want to read other books of yours. Than you God bless you all :-):-):-)
I would like to have your video about your training. Thank you!
Dear Harv,
Thank you so much for your lessons. They are so inspiring and motivating!!
From my part, I think the biggest challenge I am going through right now is trying to fix my life in every level.
Well actually my life was not bad at all is just that it didnt fell fully accomplished. When I went out of university and started working I stopped and thought… so thats it? This is life?
I realized that current education was just making me focus on finishing school with good grades and the university with good grades and making me believe that if I succeed in that I was going to find a great job and be happy and successful ever after.
When the time came (finishing university and getting the first job) I was so excited, thinking ok I did all the work well here so my dream job and successful life have to come right away.
But dreamt job never came and I didnt felt at all succesful. I stayed working 4 years after university, enjoying my salary, having fun.. it was nice but I knew it was not supposed to be like this forever because I was not feeling any passion or fullfillness with my life and job. During the 4 years I was little by little getting to my breaking point.
So at the end of the 4th year I got to the breaking point where I decided… ok time to “fix your life” to make a “life makeover”. I guess i was wanting this so much that several things start coming to my life that helped me taking new decisions or acquiring new knowledge.
From posts in facebook about how having a succesfull life to finding classes and conferences where I was getting new knowledge, a knowledge that they dont teach in schools, knowledge of life, of living and being. For example a design conference was very important because it is where I met neuroscience and how knowing how our brain works is so important for life, the the same guy that gave that conference mentioned T.Harv and his book and stuff like this lead to other and other and other stuff where I started learning more and more in order to be successful in every level.
I decided to move to another country (with the popular excuse of “making a master”), I changed the path of my career to one that fills me more, I started doing yoga, meditation, being a kinder person, caring more about my family and helping others.. etc, etc.
In summary I learned that to be successful I have to be successful in the all levels of life: love, career, money, family, charity, spiritual growth, etc
I have to confess that I am still working on it, I am happy to have found a partner in life that I love, I have much a better relationship with my family, I healed a lot of issues that I had with my past that were holding me to create a better present and future, I am still trying to be less resentful and more forgive and less hard to myself and others….
I still dont feel balanced but I feel much balanced than before and it feels great (I still need to get higher financially to feel free and happy) ….I am having some troubles with that because I think my mindset was not a millionaire mind, so I believe that I have to put more energies there for next year maybe. I also have to keep growing the spiritual part in order to keep the peaceful mind and think clearly and care more about others.
But even though I havent get there yet, I feel happy and successful with my life now.
So that was my challenge of life taht i am trying to overcome: to balance my life and be succesfull in all levels.
How do I translate it into business? I still dont know how and I dont know if giving coaching or something like that is something I would like.
I believed that giving some consultancy to make analysis and creating business strategies is something that I would like better since it is kind of what I did with my life… I analyzed, I organized, I learned new things and I created my life strategy (which is evolving everyday).
I hope soon I can translate all this into business and help people and find my life passion 🙂
Thanks again T.Harv and to all the community, I wish you all the best and that you achieve all what you want and be trully successful and happy.
hugs and love
Lili
